Is bluehost similar to hostgator?

I have been using hostgator and familiar with the hostgator platform. Just wondering what host is similar to hostgator or even better?

Is bluehost cpanel similar to hostgator? Bluehost cpanel looks a bit "non standard", the header has more buttons and looks different.

I have had great service from Hostwinds, if you want a recommendation.

cPanel is cPanel, but many of the big brands oversell the boxes so they are slow; you can always try a smaller host that worked for me.

I almost never talk badly about a company or person publicly; if I have a beef with one I speak to them in private but in this case I think it appropriate to tell you to stay away from both HostGator and BlueHost; neither one will make your eyes light up.

no big difference. but bluehost includes a free domain and automated weekly backups for free while hostgater includes website builder

Really not, cPanel is in any case supported by the hardware and there is a Big difference.

Tried BlueHost for many sites (reseller plan also) and it's really good. With pingdom.com in over one year my sites were down for only 25 minutes!
I don't want to speak about HostGator because I do not want to get angry.

If they are part of EIG there is going to be some run over from their top brass... I would not be looking at that group.

I'm trying Blue Angel Host right now and it is pretty quick for the little testing I am doing. I have a few reseller accounts and have my hands involved in something else related to hosting that is not ready for public consumption.

For a small situation I would not be looking at Blue Angel or some other small entity like that and stay away from EIG and some of the others mentioned in this thread.

I could actually tell you a horror story about one above in particular that cost me over 10 Thousand Dollars due to their ineptness.

You dont need to worry. Almost every hosting site use similar cpanel. It cant be much different from site to site.
