Is bluehost similar to hostgator?

I had a shared hosting account with Hostwinds 2 or 3 years ago. It was back when BHW was supposedly using them. It was terrible. My sites on that host were down at least once a month. BHW was down a lot at that time too. Maybe they're better now, maybe not, but I'm not going to risk it.

I have a shared hostgator that has had no problems other than a week or so last year where it had slower pings than usual.
 
Pretty much the same and the underlying cPanel works basically the same for any host with cPanel.
