I lost rankings too yesterday. All keywords dropped from #5-6 to #30+. Seems as though it's already hit.

my ranking drops don't seem to be as dramatic as everyone else. I'm still on page 1 for my terms but I'm right at the bottom of the page. so i basically might as well not be on page 1 lol

For me it has happened like this between yesterday and today.

In 5 different websites, all of them ranking top 10. I was thinking it was something else, because all of them are churn and burn, but it was very suspicious all happening at the same time.

I see that people are getting ready for another update. Who cares anyway? It's not the first not last we will see changes in their algo. Till then we could only wonder what particular types of links it will hit.

Almost all of my sites dropped too, definitely something is going on in SERPs.

More likely to be Panda around this time of the month. They said they are not going to announce it every time as it runs every month - according to the Mueller guy from Google you will see if you have been hit by Panda as you will see your site had a major crawl (Panda running through it) just before your rankings drop.

Confirmed. Same here, one website dropped 3-6 pages for most its keywords. No changes in terms of SEO/backlinks from my end.

Well, don't know how true this is but supposedly Penguin 3 hasn't rolled out, they've been testing some algorithm changes.

I guess that's the "dipping their toe in the water" before unleashing the hounds of hell.

Penguin updates always coincide with my vacations. So memorial day weekend friends.

This! Every time I go on vacation, something happens. If you remember this time last year there was a big update. I think it was May 22, Penguin 2.0. Smack dab in the middle of my vacation. I'll be away next week as well. Let's see if Google allows me to enjoy my vacation.

I'll paraphrase this according to my own experience.

Out of 20-30 sites, the ones that lost rankings during last week were the 2-3 sites that were "in vacation mode". Not being updated for the last 2-3 months.
