You know SEO is not a rocket science, its just a simple and easy way to rank your website in search engine. First of all content of your website should be of high quality and unique. If you want to rank your website in search engine you should need to update your content atleast once in a month or once in a 3 months. Secondly choose long tail keywords, and make sure your presence at social media specially on facebook, twitter and most importantly on Google+. Build high quality links

you should also point those links to your site - you didn't write that and it made me so confused

and avoid spam.

Great tips, OP, except I don't recommend updating content once in three months, I'd say few times a week is okay for a small blog.

Now wonder why I could never rank! All this time I've been printing out my unique articles and pouring juice all over them, scanning them back in and uploading them to my sites for SEO. It never really worked and I always had to keep buying new printers because of all the juice... thanks OP!
