Hello guys,

I've been working hard and spent a lot of money on links.blog posts and advertising for my site. Recently got an email saying I need to change the name as it's similar to a trademarked domain. example trademark "apple" my name "theapple" or "mrapple" My own fault but very sad stuff and a bit scary. :/ I was just wondering if you guys knew the safest way to change the domain name of a site and how to handle redirects? I'm more than happy to pay if there's a service I just need help and feel like poo. Anyway the show much go on!

Thanks for any help that can be given!

if you got real email from apple then its serious issue otherwise its ok :)

You can redirect the domain but that might not solve the issue as they may want you to complete get rid of it..So the best possible solution is to get a new domain and change the links. If most of the links were blog posts just get them replaced(by paying premium to the seller).

Yeah that sounds like a plan do you know any sellers which will offer this service? Thank you so much for replaying.

This is not your fault.Domain seller should be sued as you got that domain on their clearance.

That's what I thought. I don't sell anything from them and to my knowledge they shouldn't sell domains that are trade marked and can be shut down. It's really frustrating when you build a site rank it and then this happens. Just trying to find away around having to shut down the site.

Thanks for your support SEOnetic

apple is a fruit and you can use the domain like apple.net apple.org.

they can't get your domain deleted if it's generic.
