Do you have the right automator version? The current is V1.0.0.18

Ok, it should be fine now. Please download the just released V1.0.0.19 of Automator. Thanks for reporting the issue.

Yes, now it's ok.

P.S. It will also be nice to have the: "Select the URL lists to compare" and "Select the URL lists to compare on domain level".

Thank you

Try the custom harvester, it works fine. Settings >> use custom harvester. Yahoo is broken and its a known issue, in fact its already fixed in the next version. But there are 3 harvesters in scrapebox, the most powerful one is the custom harvester, which you can update the engines for at any time and it can be modified easily if something breaks. It works, and works fine and supports over 20 engines. The old multi threaded harvester is whats broken, and perhaps the single threaded harvester.

Again yahoo is fixed in the next version, but you should try the custom harvester for both bing and yahoo, its working fine.

In your main scrapebox folder there should be a file call bugreport.txt. Can you please send that file to support, it contains the crash data.

Else if there is not, next time you get a crash, can you please choose the "save report" option or click do not send to server, and then it will save a bugreport and can you send me that please.

Thanks for your help. :)
Btw, is it possible to create a 'wordpress poster' like the one on scrapeboard?

Sweetfunny, as a fellow developer, I'm just wondering why you chose Moz over Ahrefs or MajesticSEO for your API on the backlink checker addon? The other 2 sure do keep their API restrictions quiet and don't advertise them much on their site, so I'm wondering if you maybe have already dove into comparing them or rather you just chose the first that seemed to do the job?

The Article Scraper Plugin can post to Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr, Blog.com etc http://www.scrapebox.com/article-scraper-plugin

We also have the Page Authority Addon http://www.scrapebox.com/page-authority-addon and people need a free (or paid) Moz account to check Page Authority, Domain Authority and MozRank metrics which are popular since PageRank is rarely updated.

So the Backlink Checker Addon can use the exact same account as the Page Authority Addon and users of ScrapeBox get a lot of functionality with only the need to create a single third party account. With 37 free addons in ScrapeBox now, the less accounts people need to use them the easier it is.

Just a short question, can we use socks proxy on custom harvester?

Thank you

Hello,

I've been using Scrapebox for a while now and it's a great program. However, the automator plugin, which I bought recently, is of no help to me right now. It can't export remaining keywords to the keyword list after I have stopped harvesting. I have to stop harvesting from time to time so that I can import new proxies using the API of a paid service. I wanted to automate this cycle, but it turns out I can't.

The plugin does all other jobs well on its own, but still I have no use for it in its current state. I believe since this plugin is premium, it should support such basic functionality.

Thanks!

Yes. SOCKS proxies will work mostly anywhere in scrapebox that http proxies will work, in fact I think they actually work anywhere in scrapebox where http proxies work. They just have to be marked as SOCKS.

You could use the custom harvester as it can refresh proxies on the fly. So you can just have your service saving proxies to a file and have the custom harvester pull those proxies ever 1 to 30 mins and test them and keep harvesting. Eliminating the need to export uncompleted keywords.

Video on that:

Thanks for the response. I will try that, but I don't like being forced to use the custom harvester when I purchased this plugin so that I can use the multi-threaded one.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I think the functionality to automate keyword export should be present in this *premium* plugin if it claims to be able to automate Scrapebox's behavior. I don't mind that I have to pay for it - I would gladly pay a bit more, as long as it can be useful to me. But it's not and I would be surprised if I'm the only one.

Sure I get what your saying, but do you realize the custom harvester is multi threaded same as the multi threaded harvester? Also the custom harvester uses a new thread system thats more effecient resource wise, it can harvest from 5+ times as many engines, it offers more options in the way of proxies, auto refresh, and you can run the proxy retries up to 99 instead of only 20 (with the multi harvester).

Running proxy retries up will make the harvester retry more proxies for your keywords so they don't get skipped. So overall it seems from every angle possible that the custom harvester would work better and more effeciently for you then the multi harvester. I mean it seems like extra work and doing it the hard way to do it he way you want to. Just my 2 cents.

Also the custom harvester is the latest in "the evolution of scrapebox harvesters". They started single, moved to multi and then moved to custom. It wouldn't surprise me if they kill off the single and multi harvester as they aren't needed and the custom does everything the others do, and does it better plus more, with the one exception of exporting uncompleted keywords. At that is subjective as if a keyword is completed in one engine and uncompleted in another then it gets exported as uncompleted and your redoing work and wasting time. Its not pheasible to have this feature in the custom harvester just due to that reason with 20+ engines.

Anyway, I say all that because of this one simple principal about scrapebox and any other program that I have learned and that has helped me incresingly make more money. Just because I have been doing something one way doesn't mean its not better to try and learn to do it differently. Often times I have people ask me questions or show me their methods and I realize I can adopt or learn from that and do it better. I used to avoid it and just do my way and stick with it, but I learned I was leaving production and effeciency on the table and at the end of the day I made less money. So I changed and continue to constantly. Problems, such as your having, when I have them, I hate them in a way, because I just want stuff to work, which Im sure you can sympathize with.

But more often then not, at the end of the day, the problem forces me to ask myself or others questions and I learn something new and learn how I can do something quicker, more effecient, something new etc... and all that results in me having more time and making more money for the time spent. So while it seems that your having a problem and you want scrapebox to build in a feature to the automator, its probably better to stop and look at what options are available and see if you can't change your method, which will eliminate the problem of needing to export keywords and thus save you time, hassle and work and ultimately result in more production which I would presume will make you more money.

I can't tell you how many times I have had someone tell me they wish there was a feature to do x, y or z so they could solve problem A, and when we talk it out, they can use exisiting functions to eliminate problem A in the first place, and not need those other features, which in turn saves them time. Just they way I think, its of course up to scrapebox to add or not add the feature, not up to me.

Isn't Blog commenting produce nofollow backlinks? How can it help?no offence,I was thinking to buy it but did not got the answer.

First, I think your asking the wrong question. You should ask, assuming you want to build links, "what kind of links can scrapebox build?"

Scrapebox can "post" to 32 different platforms, including blogs, guestbooks, image platforms, BBS and a forum. That said, many of those produce ******** links. Blog comments also produce ******** links, but some platforms, such as wordpress, produce a large amount of ********.

Next, nofollow links help your SERP just fine, they just don't pass page rank juice. If you don't care about your SERP and only care about upping page rank, nofollow will not help you, else if you want to increase your rank, nofollow work.

Next up is the fact that you can use things like the vanity name checker, the article scraper plugin etc... to build in content links. Plus then there is always using scrapebox beyond the blatant obvious and using it to find the option to build high quality links. Ive got about 80 videos how to do all this and tons more here:

Hey loopline, thank you for all your helpful tutorials! I have one question about Scrapebox if you don't mind...

Let's say I want Scrapebox to scrape EVERYTHING that comes before and after a certain word. For example, if my keyword is "weight", I can put it into SB, and it will continuously scrape keywords like "how to lose weight" and "weight loss". It'll just keep going and finding everything that has the word "weight" in it.

Is this possible?

There isn't really a "revolving" system like that persay. You could just keep scraping keywords at first, and get a massive keyword list till your happy and then scrape urls.

Or you could break it down with the automator and load in some keywords, have it scrape keywords from those, then scrape urls, then go back and get more keywords from the first set and so on, but you would have to build out the job file. You could have the last scrape save off the found keywords to the first file that the job starts with and then also scrape and save urls. Then it could loop and start over and it would be starting with the new set of keywords. In "Theory" that would work... for a while, until your keyword list got too large and scrapebox ran out of memory and crashed.

But you have to tell it to do it, there is no "enter some keywords and we will endlessly scrape keywords, then urls then go back and get more keywords then urls etc..." But, you could scrape up a massive keyword list, noting that you shouldn't load in lists larger then 800K to start scraping urls with. So if you get more then 800K, just break it into chunks. Then you could load them in and scrape. You would wind up with tens of millions of urls, so at a point, scraping up 500 million urls is only of value if you can manage to do something productive with 500 million urls, so you don't really need endless, revolving scraping anyway.

my proxies got blocked fast for using sb . how can i avoid this ? Only have 15 private proxies

First of all, Loopline, thanks for taking the time to write such a long reply. I appreciate it.

However, the custom harvester doesn't work for me either. I can't get it to reload the list of proxies as well. Heck, right now I can't even get it to load the list even the first time. My friend, who also uses Scrapebox contacted you with the same problem several times and all he got was a reply, that everything *should* work.

So, from my point of view, first you say that something is working when in our two cases it isn't. Then, you refuse to add functionality to a currently incomplete paid addon for the program, that could fix things at least somewhat.

I would be very happy with the custom harvester, as long as it can load proxies without fail. I even won't be sorry that I bought the automator plugin, that I won't be using. However, that has rarely happened and only when I specify smaller value (20 at most) for number of proxies harvested and number of threads. I understand that on your machines it runs okay. I'm willing to give you any information you need from my own machine, if that's going to help you.
