Hello,

Would you recommend posting CPAs directly on your page (community page in my case) and boosting the post or posting them as ads on the right hand side of the screen (or really big ones in the middle like sponsored stories)? Anybody tried either method? I ask as I have tried the latter and from 3500 reached I barely got 3 ppl to the landing page. Suffice to say no conversions occurred.

Also, is there a difference in making an ad to show on News Feed and just boosting your post to a specific targeted demographic?
I was hoping somebody with more experience be able to advise on this? What type of offers work for you guys, how do you promote them? How do you take advantage of FB ads and the detail that you can select your target audience with?

Thanks!

According to me, posting on related groups works fine. But facebook ads I dont know much of.

The issue I find with that is that FB really minimizes your post to a small list to the right of their page. Unlike an actual post that people will actually see.

Do you agree with the owners of the page first or just look for pages which accept postings from others?

Thanks!

For me News feed ads have done wonder with good CTR. I no longer bid for right hand ads as they are not visible for mobile users.

Post your CPA links on fan page and then run fb ads for page likes. That way you will have curious visitors who are more likely to take action.

I have ran ads to promote page likes and those work great. I am now trying to build the page naturally (which is difficult as fudge).

I also have these 3 ads going on news feeds. The recommended CPC is 0.10$. I have set different prices caps but there are no impressions. Any ideas?

Your ads are not running as reach is 0. Click on any campaign & again look for suggested bid range as this range changes once your ad is approved. Also sometimes you don't see any stat till about ad runs for half an hour. So wait for half hour and check those suggested bid and modify your bid accordingly.

That's just it. Ads were approved 4 hrs. ago. And I the suggested value is $0.04 - $0.10 per click. I am already paying the above on of them. I have rechecked and the range has not changed. Should I offer way above the recommended? Would that even impact given 0 impressions?

Thanks!

I have worked with many clients but this is the first time i am seeing such scenario. Instead of website conversion try with post page engagement or url clicks. That should clear the dark clouds here.

I just tried the URL Clicks thingy. Still nothing. Can it be because I am trying to advertise a link that I did not share on my page? I just put in a link from a CPA offer and when I preview the ads, it shows as if my page is the one advertising it. Is that normal?

I will try one last thing and set to auto bid amount. If it works, then I was not bidding enough. If it does not, I am stuck.

It seems that fixed it. Despite bidding what they suggested, it was apparently too low. The auto setting made me reach my limit instantly offering a whooping 3 clicks. Since this was just a test, I have set the limit to $2.

Basically, that cost me $0.66 per click and had a CTR of 2%.

How are those stats in your opinion?

Thanks!

Glad it started finally. CTR of 2% is very good . I clock about 4-5 % in my campaigns but i run very targeted ads thanks to custom audience.

Golden rule is to keep monitoring CTR and if it stays above 2 % you should then bid for CPM instead of CPC.

So you would recommend targeting up to the point where reach is a few (hundred) thousand people rather than millions for better click through and conversions?

It depends on the product, prospective customer profile, and also their location. But its always better to focus on limited " Would be interested " customers than say reaching whole of the USA.

So without knowing the product this can't be answered effectively.
