phrozn,
We've got a lot of customers. We take good care of them. We've spent hundreds of hours on this thread alone. If we didn't work hard like that, we wouldn't have been around for over four years and we wouldn't be continuing to grow. Unlike a lot of the software products that are fly-by-night, we are a legitimate and professional company. If you have any specific questions about how we handle customer service, feel free to message me directly. The short story is: We answer 50+ questions a day and constantly update the software with bug fixes and new features. We have an intense focus on pleasing the customers that we can.
UBot Studio is one of the most popular web automation solutions available, and it is fully managed by a team of just 4 people. It's not an easy task, but we manage to make it work smoothly by having strict guidelines and procedures for the employees. I am pushed to my limits managing sales calls and managing operations and marketing. Support has a tight schedule making sure every support ticket is answered in a timely manner. Our Dev team (Seth and Ed) are always under a ton of pressure to get that next release out and, as CEO as well, Seth has more commitments than anyone.
We simply aren't going to have a roundtable conversation here or anywhere about how we manage updates. We'll fast track fixes if we need to, but its probably not going to happen because someone posted in our sales thread at a black hat forum. We've got a protocol in place and it's not going to change. When a customer asks to "Escalate" a support issue, what they're saying is "I don't like the answer I'm getting." I'm sure anyone here can understand what it's like to have a lot to manage with very limited human resources. It's for this reason that we do all our support through our ticket system, we delete inflammatory posts before they get out of control on our own forum, and we avoid "escalating" tickets to Seth just because someone asks us to. Yes, it's our discretion what's inflammatory. To keep business running smoothly, it's very important that we stick to these protocols. (We also aren't going to respond with alacrity to comments in this thread about how we should do something other than what we're doing. That's not what this thread is for.)
I hope that sort of careful management doesn't keep you from buying UBot Studio.
lincolnave,
I legitimately have no idea what problems you're running into, and since this is a sales thread, and not a support forum, I can't really help you (plus I don't have a ticket # for any ticket you've put into support to look up). Make sure Error Tracking is off, and clear your error logs - a few customers were having issues with that slowing things down, and it'll be updated in a few days with the next release to not cause an issue. V5 isn't crashing all the time for most people using it, so something might be wrong with your install. If you're using plugins, get rid of them for a minute and see what happens. If you're opening old scripts, try narrowing down a specific problem by copy-pasting a chunk of the script into V5. I highly recommend opening a support ticket and just describing your issue as you experience it as clearly as possible. Or do the same on the forum.
Where we are with our software isn't a secret to anybody. We added a tracker for bug fixes, features, etc, a few months ago, at
http://tracker.ubotstudio.com. It's public, so anyone can add anything to it. Anyone with questions about how our updates/bug fixes/etc are being handled can check it out there. If you have a question about what the future holds, that's a great place to start.
tl;dr: Thanks for your comments. Please keep them relevant and use the methods we recommend to solve problems. These methods are there for a reason.
