Hey Michael. I Wanted to say how inspiring your journey is. It affirms for me that with the right attitude and insight, I can achieve something similar to the success you are having (at least I hope I can!). I share your aspiration to jet off to Fiji whenever you want, maybe we could chat over a pint one day in the shade of the palm trees haha.
Sorry i'm rambling. A few questions for you:
1) What is your background with IM? Did you start this project as a relative novice?
2) Do you plan to build more sites and repeat your approach, or expand the current sites?
3) Do you host all of the sites on the same hosting account?
4) Do you plan to diversify into other affiliate programs such as eBay?
5) Would adding a video of yourself talking about each product help conversions? (personal/trust approach)
Thanks in advance![]()
One day, lets hope. For now my feet are firmly grounded, I am nowhere near that yet
1) Novice with IM, very small amount of SEO knowledge, I had dabbled with Adsense before Amazon, couldn't get more than 150 bucks a month with that. Will get back into adsense later down the line.
2) Currently expanding my most profitable two and posting the odd reviews here and there on the smaller ones. I want to expand the other 4 but finding it incredibly difficult due to 9-5 work.
3) Used to, not anymore. At then end of the day what is 50 quid or so a year for hosting if the sites earn you way more than that and reduce footprints
4) Not ebay, but I do want to do adsense, clickbank and CPA but currently I have no time to do any of these.
5) I guess it would, but you don't need to. I have never used this approach. In my opinion you can use the time better. By the time you have created a good enough video/wrote script for it you could of wrote 5 500+ words reviews or more.
Thanks for this thread! I am into Amazon Affiliates also but not using the US version. Instead I am using the spanish as I am a spanish speaker. Commissions really sucks. For example, the other day I sold an 600€ iPhone and only got 10€ for it- I want to target US market but I am not really convinced on that because my English skills are not that good. I have easiness with english language but I am not really sure if I can write or review product posts.
What do you suggest me?
Also, US market is way more difficult than Spanish market regarding to keyword research and SEO. However, there are a lot of clients and they are most likely to buy products (I think) via Amazon.
Should I give it a try?
Thanks
