w13son - i bet over the years noballs has commented on shit list threads most of us have,
yes we / he has principles we all do, but when the time comes to be shit listed, we all follow
the rules and outcome

if a shit list thread is found against you, even lets say if its wrong, for the same of 200$ against
a vip account / sales thread / rep isnt it easier to just to pay up and keep your rep intact then loose
everything.

still he was given 5 weeks 2 days to do the right thing, with so much on the line this problem
could have gone away in a week, but he made it clear through emails to friends there would be no refund.

and anyone who starts quoting the law as a means to avoid payment come on , that's low and now we
loose a highly respected user for principle ? for 200$ not worth it. as judge dread one said
im done - rip steel hope it was worth it - im out .

YES.
(no need to write a 300 words post on it.) that is why he is perm banned.

-=-

You clearly didn't read my post. Your response is illogical and nonsensical.
My post was a personal reflection on the proceedings.

You aren't a scammer because you are ▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ trusted ?

@proxygo - I am not defending Steelballs and agree that he should have dealt with the issue.
He didn't and received the justifiable punishment.

My only point is that some people use the term SCAMMER without knowing the meaning.
If there was INTENT to deceive or defraud, then it is a SCAM.

If I receive a poor service or deal with a business that has poor customer service, have I been scammed or have I been the victim of bad business practices.

i have not once used the word scam have i? not once .
i choose my words carefully , i said when given 5 weeks to pay up
he choose not to. and thats all ive said

I wasn't referring to you Mate, and I agree with your sentiments.

I was referring to several other people in the thread who are throwing the word around without fully understanding the meaning or the implications.

This is purely a scam and he scammed $200
Have you read the full thread, he just scammed me and I will have to say "steelballs is a scammer"

Not trying to interfere here, but aren't shit list threads get closed after the case is closed ?

From what I see, any further comments will do harm more than good ...

peter ..if you read this , apologize , and get on with things

He was building a fake "good guy" persona like all his rep buddies, guy was obviously fake because he lost his account over silly $200. Stop trying to justify his actions and move on.

I'm pretty sure W130SN isn't trying to justify his actions..

I was almost offended until I saw you've been here 3 years, made only 260 posts, was thanked 838 times but could only find it in your heart to give out 76 thanks in return. Nobody would ever accuse you of trying to network with those numbers. =)

Some know but most don't; Steellballs and Panther26 purchased my JrVIP membership for no reason but pure kindness. Neither has ever asked me for anything in return. No signature agreement - NOTHING in return. Both earned my respect with their random act of kindness.

Steelballs was never any part of a Skype group that I'm aware of and I've never heard that he asked for rep from anyone. He shared plenty of laughable content and was typically first with news posts in the lounge. Rarely, if ever, did I see him attack another member on this forum but he always had an ear to listen to anyone that was suffering or going through a hard time.

With all that said, I don't excuse that he didn't take care of business as he should have. I don't know his circumstances and frankly it's none of my business. Business is simple really; you take money to do a job and you do it. If you can't do the job you return the money. It's nothing complicated or mysterious. Pete took money and didn't do the job and didn't return the money; of course that's not acceptable by anyone's standards but again nobody knows the circumstances.

Some would like to say it doesn't matter, blah blah blah; well when you get to be 52 years old you realize you're not the Master of the Universe and in the blink of an eye you can go from a Mountain top to a valley. We're all just one bad decision from death; whether it's your error or anothers. I'm not making an excuse just explaining nobody here is walking in his shoes.

To accuse him of "building a fake good guy" persona is over the top and to say he had "rep" buddies without proof is just ignorant speculation. Maybe he'll pay these guys back in the future and make things right. That would be my hope. I really don't see much need to keep beating the dead horse but it seems some here love to find the forum fires, bring a can of gas and pull up a lawn chair. Enjoy your bonfire, roast your marshmallows on the Steelballs carcase and sorry for the interrupt.

I am curious why there is still a discussion on this member now that he is no longer part of the community. I think the situation is pretty simple.

->seller creates a service
->leads pay for service
->some leads did not receive the service they pay for
-> same leads ask for either the service or a refund
->seller does not comply
->leads follow process to attempt a resolution at location of service being sold
->seller does not comply with advised resolution
->Due to failing to adhere to agreements of being part of this community seller is no longer a member

I understand that some people are friends with steelballs but there are other communication platforms to continue your rapport with him. Debating what happened in my opinion is just a moot point now.

Anyway, I didn't know the guy and I am sorry for the losses incurred. I just don't see the point but interesting read none the less

It's always about the stats isn't it? When will you people understand that the stats mean nothing? All of the high rep whores got shitlisted and banned, reps or thanks are fucking worthless. Just for your info, my ratio is screwed because I've programmed free tools for BHW, but yeah I have no heart.

"He shared plenty of laughable content and was typically first with news posts in the lounge" - Yeah because that redeems you when you scam someone.

It's simple, he SCAMMED people and then had the BALLS OF STEEL to say that BHW and the two guys he scammed fucked his paypal account, but I agree; he should get unbanned because he posted good news in the lounge. Just gave you a thanks though, hope that makes you feel better.

Waiting for his other rep buddies to arrive and try to justify this scam artist.

This thread is already starting to turn into a bit of an argument. I don't want to question or disrespect the Mods/Admins but I think sticking with SL Rule Number 4 would have been a wise move for this thread. So far we've had random irrelevant pictures posted, sly remarks from members who hate members with high stats and nothing really useful has come from this thread by allowing every Tom, Dick and Hatemachine to post in it.

time to stop beating the horse guys, sure some of us poked a little fun [ cough ]
some were a little more harsh , but only based on the fact when you think some one
is reputable and the ball swings at them, you think they will do the right thing.

when they dont, when they out refuse , when they make it clear NO
it does show dis-regard for the rules we all have to follow, sure some of
us here have made small mistakes, some of us large mistakes, but the
majority of us get a chance to atone for it, when that chance is offered
and you refuse , sure your out and no amount of passed contributions
will change it..

the end.

Every shitlist thread is an argument since the beginning. Those weren't irrelevant pictures, they were very relevant to my post. You see, I said that I would 'wait' for his other rep buddies to arrive, and thus I used the spongebob gif to show my stance. Okay. I am not cute as spongebob, yellow or squarish, but you get the point. I am not hating on anyone with high stats, merely stating that the rep whores end up shitlisted and banned, and that's what's been happening the past months. Feel free to report my hateful posts if you find any. Use your wizard skills and disappear.

Steelballs seemed to be a nice guy. However, I have known numerous nice guys
on BHW who ended up being banned for one reason or another. We have even
had a few staff members who have been banned in the past. It has to be that
way because of the fact that our rules apply to ALL members - staff included.

Don't know if you heard but they got rid of REP. So your argument is irrelevant.

Their status still remains as a rep whore, everyone knows who they are. Veeeeeeeeeery relevant. Even then, "thanks" is still left so you can call people who haven't thanked zillion of posts heartless, because you know; thanks are that important. Those fucking heartless monsters, how can't they hand out thanks to the poor and feed them, solve the world hunger by thanking.
