Pinterest Fashion vs. Recipes

The highest Click through is in Recipes niche
In fact if you go more precise it is Desserts, some very lovely looking desserts which is almost calories free,

Hey I just want to ask how many of your group board that you are selling invites to are food related? and are they spammed to death like most of the group boards shared on here?

Start out with just 10 good pins and follow and unfollow for two weeks then start adding about 30-50 pins a day.The more followers you get start adding more pins.Thats what I did and I'm at 8000 followers and growing. With 8000 followers I pin about 500 pins a day for 3 days then follow more people for 4 days rince and repeat.

This means you are pinning about 1500 pins a week. My I ask how much traffic you are receiving doing that?

Thanks Commoner. Although I will never get near twitter because of my past nightmares with it, I'll have to agree with you on most if not all the points you mentioned. Hijacking other pages really tends to work. And promoting through other related pages would be a great idea as well.

But,,, the worst thing about this is the niche. Recipes are horrible if you're using facebook and twitter. I tried making a page for my blog and promoting this page was the hardest thing to do. While making another page like funny videos for example was extremely easy. The funny videos do most of the work for you if you know what I mean.

Take this page for example "Recipes of the world" it has over 300k likes and still each post can only go a little more than a hundered likes far. That is ridiculous. Do you know how much it would take to reach that far.

I guess you are already doing very well with social media. Can you talk about that a bit if that's the case?

Hi Elescho,

I was once in your shoes, be there done that. I clearly understood the difficulties on your specific niche, Recipe, to gain a massive targeted traffic.
Some joined for convenience, some participate for free recipes and ideas while others contributed to your success in network building list.

Do give me some time to perform lite research on recipe blog before getting back to you.

Take care,

When you say 500 pins a day, pins are coming from your blog? (posting 500 images to your blog and then pin them?)

Be Easy. Pinterest does have a learning curve. Its not like other social sites.

Hey Kidze something very strange is happening with this forum. When I am logging in it's showing your user name and the number of notifications that you have. Not that I can access any of it just the name. This is very weird and ironic since you just replied to my thread.

That would be awesome thanks.

I feel both are cool to attract visitors. For recipe thing, if you have videos that would be fabulous.

You must have no idea what my question was. What I meant was what are the incentives that pushes people to click on the image and go to my website. Usually like I said recipe pins gets the most click through rate but fashion pins gets the most repins but less people willing to click on the image to see what is on the other side.

And I totally understand how pinterest works otherwise I wouldn't have made such thread...
