Hi guys, do you have any speed problem with scrapebox harvester lately ? Especially those who are using Hostamus VPS service.

Here's my story, if you can spare some minutes, please help me out.

Yesterday, I purchased a basic VPS plan from Hostamus with 1Gb bandwith along side with 50 semi-dedicated proxies from buyproxies and hoped that I can scrape lots of links with Scrapebox.

I put 30 proxies in and set the google connection to 6, so that my proxies won't be banned (according to loopline's video). Before harvesting, I tested all the proxies, they're all fast and google passed. But the harvest speed is horrible, I only got average 15 - 30 urls/s (which is even worse than what I have at my own computer) and within minutes, scrapebox doesn't harvest anymore. I thought maybe the proxies were banned, but when I re-checked, they're all still fast and google passed.

So I contact Damien from Hostamus, he said that my proxies were banned, then he put in 100 proxies of him, start harvest again. The speed start off great, about 100 urls/s but again, within minutes, it's dropping and eventually stop harvesting in just 10 minutes. Damien's idea is that Google is banning IP super fast now, and it's nothing to do with his VPS. I don't know what to think.

Is it true that Google bans IP super fast now ? If so, is there any way I can use scrapebox ?

Yes as of the past few weeks google upped the bans. So go for 1:10 ratio instead of 1:5 or maybe even 1:15.

Hey, I just noticed a problem in the last version.
When I'm trying to use automator and "post content" instead of the regular poster, it opens "Custom poster" and won't start automaticly, just until I will click on "Start".

Why it isn't the regular poster?

There is a new custom poster. You can go into the addons and uninstall the learning mode poster and it will go back to the old poster.

Thanks for the answer - I feel the same way and really one poster is a better idea thank updating 3 as well. Guess we should be able to train it for new popular platforms - maybe you could do a video for that

I also noticed that when I post a little bit longer no matter if I use private proxy or without it I am getting more 400 errors - so posting to bigger lists is a bit problematic at this moment.

It works fine on lists with tens of thousands of urls for me on most servers. However I have one server that gets 400 errors as well. Its not the poster, its something with the DNS or the server its self. Im trying to figure it out on my end, but the 400 error is bad request so its either your proxies or the servers DNS or something with the server/pc its self.

I don't know yet, Im trying to figure it out. It works fine with massive lists on all my machines except for 1 server. You seem to have the same issue. Ill post back when I figure it out.

There is nothing to fix on scrapeboxes side. Error 400 is a bad request. Scrapebox won't generate a bad request. Something along the way is altering the requests or can't keep up or something. There is nothing scrapebox can do to fix a problem thats in your network/dns/internet connection etc...

I don't use public proxies for scraping, 99.9% of the time I only use private for scraping. However I can tell you that google has tightened down the tolerance as of late. So it makes perfect sense that if google bans more quickly that more proxies will get banned more quickly, which results in less being available.

They say it may take several hours but in my case, most of the time it only takes 10-15 minutes. Anw, you should be activated by now.

Yes, me and other users also having this problems. Loopline explained about this issue few posts above.

You should wait about 12-24 hours until your license to be active.

any API issues here?

Also when scraping lots of keywords upon completion it used to show which keywords were successfully scraped, now it just shows the platform type repeated over and over again. Am I doing something wrong, or is it supposed to be like that?

Update: upon monitoring my death by captcha account during fast poster session, it's clear, that accounts is not connected. I'm using correct log-ins. What can be the issue? Thanks.

I have the same problem but for me the problem was that I have typed a wrong password so I suggest you retry enter the login details.

Reinstall it. V 1.16.0 reworked how addons and plugins communicate with scrapebox and the old plugins/addons won't work. So you have to reinstall any of them that do this, really you should always update to the latest version anyway.

It's exactly what I have tested lately - today I get a new bunch of proxes from another provider and it's the same issue. First couple of addressed are posted very well, and after a while it's mostly 400 errors.

Proxies don't have an effect. Im in the process of working on it with a debugger, but my debugger was being buggy, lol.

It does actually work in V 1.16.0, in the custom harvester. It will not work in the multi threaded harvester or the single threaded harvester. But it works fine in the custom harvester.

Do you have the "Use proxies" checkbox on the ScrapeBox main gui checked?

Yes. I guess Scrapebox's link checker doesn't really use proxies.
