Bought a mac and i regret it

If there are no better offers at the table, go back wave your plastic and let them know that you will probably come back to buy some good gaming mouse or a printer. This way, you will have their loyalty and ass kissing while entering your pin code will be guaranteed.

you know sales people can identify that you're just playing along like you know what their talking about, right? lol, thats their job and you're making it easier. pretty obvious when you give zero input and just nod your head and say, 'oh nice, 8gb ram' like that's not standard these days. so easy to just google or ask some random gamers on a forum for help!

anyway yeah. macs are terrible. the only people who disagree are blatant fanbois or photo/video people. what's the point of using one when 99% of the software you need to run only works on windows. "but you can still use windows on them!" so just get a PC and save $1000 for the same hardware!!!

I would go with one of these brands: HP, Acer, Lenovo. At least an i3 with 4 gigs of ram, hdd 500 gb or greater, and put an SSD for the operating system in place of the optical drive if 15" (if 17" probably no need to remove the optical drive because usually there is a place for a second hard drive).
 
I bought a refurbished Gateway from Walmart. $280 including tax. Amazes me how they can make a computer look brand new. I love it!
 
when i started i had an acer aspire 5532, it was literally the cheapest one you could buy at walmart. it ran scrapebox, excel, photoshop etc. with some lag, but hell it worked. you don't need an expensive rig

http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/overview.html I can run all my seo programs on the windows side and light video editing on the mac side at the same time. I maxed out the ram on my imac to 16gigs and life is good. Now for a laptop, you can still run most of the tools you need. But most seo programs don't run on apple products as you know. You could just get a vps and run all your tools on that 24 hours a day.
 
Every major manufacturer makes a great laptop. Find something that fits your budget with the power you need. I just sold a Dell i7 book. Kicks ass, & Dell support is great now.
 
As others already have stated, you can use VMware. only downside is the keyboard. you will be missing some windows keys. but i'm sure you can get a different type and it will cost less then a new pc.
 
When Apple first made Intel-based iMacs, I got one and hated it too. Format and install Windows. Works a charm.
 
Create your own computer that fits your needs. Spend 1-2 days researching how different components behave together (there are online tools for that). When you have finished creating your dream computer, write the details of every component and go to your favorite IT shop. Place the order. Don't let them assembly it for you. It may take a few days for them to get all the parts. When you get them ... put your PC togethger yourself.

I promise you you won't regret it.

Keep your mac and you'll get iphoto, imovie and not lots of update.
Use a VPS with Windows for your SEO tools like scrapebox, Xrumer, Senuke...

Download the Bootcamp drivers for Windows, made by Apple (google it). They're designed to let you dual boot Windows and Mac OS, and you can use them for that, but you don't have to.

Formatting the hard drive is an option when you boot from the DVD drive with the Windows install disc.
