If I create a mirrored site of my competitors will that hurt their natural ranking? One of my sites was mirrored and I lost all ranking for the keywords I was targeting. Since then I have deleted the site and plan on installing a robots.txt file or some javascript that will prevent future mirrors. My question is. Can I do the same to a competitor and if so should I do it on a seperate hosting provider just in case Im blacklisted?

No and not worth of your efforts.

Forget about your competitors, move on man. Do quality backlinks, social signals and goon on page optimization. Then, you are good to go :)

When you cause a nseo in a niche everyone starts hammering everyone's sites. Don't think that your competitors are idiots and they will not know what has happened. It has happened to be before so I just did the decent thing and hammered everyone's sites.

facebook likes, share and google + good quality of backlinks will cover your site

There are new updates by G recently. For effect, it depends. But i would suggest for you to focus on your own site.

How did it feel when it happened to you? Wasn't cool was it? So don't be a dickbag and just build better and stronger sites.

EDIT: Sorry, this thread was bumped by some plum.

You mean mirrored? same niche and same keywords?

The way to stop this happening is get Google Authorship
Code:
[URL]https://plus.google.com/authorship[/URL]

you will need to do some research on the topic

I hate that it happened to you, maybe have to put it down to being part of your learning curve

What if you try to focus on your site not on your competitor's site. What you think is not worth of you efforts.

Yes and now everything is fine, you see like the OP, some people think they are clever and the people they compete with are dumb as fuck. They think their nseo will go un-noticed and people will just sit back and do nothing, some will and some will not, I certainly would not.
