The backlink checker is working pretty well at the moment. It was server trouble on seomoz's side, nothing to do with SB. Seems it's sorted out now.

I recently bought the article scraper premium plugin. Whenever I try to batch upload articles to a blogger blog, it stops right after the first one is uploaded, every time again. Is anyone else experiencing this? Am I doing something wrong?

Does it give you any kind of error message?

Does it just stop and go back to normal like you can start it again or does it freeze etc..?

Or does it totally crash and shut down?

Thanks for quick reply.I will rate your support 10 out of 10.

However,In my opinion the backlink checker really sucks. This addon is full of errors .

The previous backlink checker was awesome. It was fast and worked flawlessly. Is there any way to get the previous backlink checker back.I know the previous backlink checker used alexa/yahoo as source which went off.I would suggest scrapebox team to make a server/data center like alexa/yahoo (like the one scrapebox previously use for pulling backlinks) and add it on there next update. It will be very very useful.

Thanks

Alexa stopped offering a max of 1000 old stale links and took it down to 5 links. SEO moz offers up to 1000 quite fresh links. Ive let it run for over a week straight and had no issues. There is an occasional error that SEO moz will throw, but by and large to get that kind of data for free and that fresh, is VERY hard to find. Ive also scraped 14 million backlinks in 1 run. I can scrape them pretty much as fast or faster then I can deal with them. So Im not sure why you don't like it, as it provides plenty of links and they are more valid then the old source, so less time sorting thru junk.

Also it doesn't make sense for scrapebox to build and maintain their own database. They would have to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars to do that. SEO moz has clients paying $500-$1500 a month for the data, so that pays for it. They are hoping free users will update to paid users.

Since scrapebox has no users paying hundreds of dollars a month they would then have to charge all users. So you would be the first to have to pay $500 a month, which I would venture to guess your not up for. If you are, go pay SEO moz and get faster access to their data. :)

Your getting free access to data that people pay hundreds or thousands of dollars a month for. With scrapebox you can just go make 100 accounts and use 100 proxies and get data faster then you could possibly deal with and still be cheaper then SEO moz cheapest package. Plus you get scrapebox. Win-Win.

I just tried again after a few hours and it works perfect now. Apparently it was something temporary, thanks for taking the time to react though :)

EDIT: it worked 1 time and gives a status 400 error when it tries to post the second article... I don't get it, it works perfect with wordpress

hello I am trying to scrape huge number of sites(+3000) for specific platform(let guess articlems). At first I tried to know how many sites are on the web using articlems. So,I search on google using the below custom footprint
"Powered by ArticleMS" inurl:/register
I made the footprint to know the number of UNIQUE articleMS sites. There are 43,700 sites using this platform as per Google.[Note that The footprint use inurl:/register command. We know every site has this page only one time. So,I think the number i see on Google,43,700 is the unique number of sites on this platform. If wrong, please tell me] I read a lot of scrapebox tutorial including blackhatworld thread, pdf, videos.Almost 98% are about getting auto approve blog comment.I have not found any good tutorial for huge scraping based on platform. Another update, I see Google no longer shows 1000 results for every query. It shows 50-60 results and show a message "In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 106 already displayed.".I think this is the reason, scrapebox cannot gather too much site. Methods,I tried: I read about Google search operator a lot and make some custom footprints for increasing the success rate, but all work goes on vain. The two methods,I tried for bulk scrape platform based site(Article directory, social blog etc) are given below.Note that both are failed to deliver huge unique site. Method 1 : I try to make custom and unique footprints for scrape the page which appear only one time on a site.Examples are registration/login page.To extend the keywords,I used most common 1k words on English as keyword. This method was failed because all registration page on a specific platform uses the same content. So,When scrapebox send query strings to Google, most have no results Method 2: In the second methods,I tried to make footprints based on post page.Every page contains different articles,so the keywords should work to pull links. This way gather huge links from Google(for ecample 8000 links for 250 keyword query) but after duplicate remove i get 70 unique site. So,this way is also failed. I want a tutorials from loopline or other scrapebox expert of how to get huge and unique sites on spacific platform using scrapebox Thanks

Anyone know if there is a way to scrape Google Maps for the entire US using Scrapebox? I did a search on the thread but no luck.

As I though,no response!!!! I previously told that I asked the same question to other forum but get no response.I though I would a good reply with a tutorial as this is the official thread by scrapebox. But not got anything till now.VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Looks like Scrapebox can do many things except scrape from search engine in bulk.Kinda funny.Isn't it????

Your post is hard to read first of all. It's just one big chunk, try some paragraphs next time ok? You might want to adjust your attitude too if you want people to help you. I'm referring to your most recent post with that last comment.

There are 43,700

Only in your wildest articlems wet dream are there 43k unique domains. That number that google spits out is pure nonsense. I don't specifically target the platform you are talking about, but I'd say you'd be lucky to find a few hundred.

Almost 98% are about getting auto approve blog comment

Less than a fraction of 1% are going to be auto approve.

I see Google no longer shows 1000 results for every query. It shows 50-60 results and show a message

To test your theory why don't you type in cat or something into google and see if it only returns 50 sites. It's because you are using obscure queries that have nothing to show. It's got nothing to do with SB.

To extend the keywords,I used most common 1k words on English as keyword

Use more keywords.

I think you may not see that I wrote in the post that when i use 100 keywords,i get 6000-8000 results. After remove duplicate domain it becomes 70-80

When i use 1000 keywords,i get 30,000-40,000 results but as before, after duplicate domain removed i get 90-100 sites. So,it is not making any sense to use more keywords to harvest unique site on platform base.

However,thanks for your reply.

When I run the same query, I get only 104 unique domains.

On page 11, I get this:

In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 104 already displayed.

If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.

For those who might be interested, I think I know the problem now.

After 20~50 posts in a short timeframe blogger will show a captcha, there isn't a post limit, but they do this to counteract automation...

Since the batch poster in the article scraper plugin doesn't display the captcha, it will give a status error.

Is there any way to find sites thats vulnerable to SQL injection with SB?

If you had the right footprint I suppose, but Id be surprised if you find someone here ready to just lead you by the hand.

Because if you have to ask that question, then you likley have no idea how to use the results you would get to do injection anyway.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

What errors do you get? Are you talking about the backlink checker and that you have a MOZ API?

Using your footprint it stops on page 19 of google with 185 results. Go there in a browser, google inflates its numbers on page 1, but when you dig in the numbers drop off like a cliff to reality. So your not going to get awesome results with that.

Even with

"Powered by ArticleMS"

It comes up and says 16,100,000 results, but when you to to page 58 it stops with less then 590 results. So either:

1.) There are not very many out there
2.) Your footprint is poor
3.) They are out there but google can't find them (yeah right).

DonaldBeck laid it out, but your searching for something that does not exist or your footprint is poor.

Anyone know if there is a way to scrape Google Maps for the entire US using Scrapebox? I did a search on the thread but no luck.

Google maps scraper is coming in the next version, however it just scrapes from like maps.google.com. It doesn't let you specify a particular region, although I would assume if you use a US IP and just type in terms its going to bring them up from general US search.

Wow, thanks for all of 24 hours to respond before you got VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. I had something come up personal that kept me from posting inside your acceptable time frame. If you will beg my pardon for not living on BHW every moment of my waking day just to get the privelige of taking your hand and leading you to fame and riches. Ill do my best to watch your every move on BHW and reply instantaneously. Perhaps Ill even hire someone to do it while I sleep. I mean for your $57 that you paid for scrapebox (of which I get none, cause I don't own scrapebox, Im just a member of the forum and an avid user who likes to help out) I think you should always get an immediate response from everyone on BHW because you are entitled to it.

What Im VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED in is that you find it reasonable to post stuff like this. Give us a break, we don't exist just to make your life easier and better. We have our own lives and businesses to run. An attitude of gratefulness will get you much further then a ungrateful criticism.

My 2 cents.

I know that google shows maximum 1k results per query (now most probably more less results) but there must be a way to scrape almost all the domain which uses a certain platform .Perhaps using some other way.As I told before,I ask the same question on a number of forum,a few days ago,an expert (most probablly from zortSEO ) posted a reply on senuke forum. He told it is possible with custom Google string and operators. And obviously he does not tell me the full way in details. That why I ask the queston here to get a tutorial.

P.S. Enjoy the de-rep (Im having a bad day lol)

I'm very sorry but i don't want to be rude.If you are hart,I am really sorry.

There is a way to scrape them, but what Im saying is, there aren't near as many as you think there are. Google stills shows 1000 results per query and you can coax lots more out of them when you do it, but at the end of the day if they don't even have 1000 total results to display then you can't get more then they have.

Look at the facts, you got your count of how many such results/domains there are from google, but yet using that same thing when you dig in, google turns around and says, ohh, yes well we were really just trying to make ourselves look good, but there are not actually that many results, there are less then 1000. And so you can only get what they have.

You have to consider that google can crawl a domain, like take a wordpress site for instance. They can crawl every uploads file, every image, every plugin, every file etc...

So lets say you take a wordpress site and you post 5 pages on it total. But on those pages you post 50 images each. Then you have a 2 CSS files then you also have 6 plugins, and you have 5 zip files available for download as well.

When someone googles a site:domain.com for your domain, and looks at the results they don't want to see a link to each image, to header images, to css files to plugins etc... So google doesn't display them. However google did fine over 250 files, all having a unique url, on your site. So they could technichally display like 273 results for site:domain.com and then when you get to page 2, they say oh, well really its only 5 pages etc...

So those numbers in results are EXCESSIVELY subjective because google doesn't have to prove them. So they could flat make them up, or they could twist the results to include every file on a page etc... When you reply on a wordpress page as a comment, it gives a unique url with like

domain.com/post/1.htm-replytocom#578

there are lots of variations but google could count every one of those comment urls as a unique url and include it in its overall count.

The point is, you can only get what is really there. Further to the point is google may largely consider that platform pointless and not index most pages. They could even crawl pages, include them in their count of "this is what is out there" but not index them. In which case you still can't scrape them because they are not indexed. Assume google is like any other business and will do everything they can to make themsevles look awesome and retain customers. Because it does NOT matter if google IS the best search engine out there, it only matters if people THINK its the best and therefor use it. It is 100% about customer perception.

I worked in retail for 12 years, I can tell you customers are idiots and they are often flat wrong about things. But it doesn't matter if the fault was theirs or not, if they think its the companies fault or they think one company is better then another, then it might as well be so, because its all based on their perception and they spend their money based on perception.

That said, Im not hurt at all. I was annoyed at you, yes, but Ive had people scream at me, cuss me out, almost punch me, threaten me and the works, allmost always over stupid stuff where they were morons and it was their fault. You couldn't hurt me if you tried, but you can be ungrateful and unreasonable and you were both. Cheers though, hopefully you figure out what you were after.

These videos might be of a help:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKC69k_cRsc

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2gaAokfeiI

On the second one the concept is to use the merge file for keywords, but you could easily use the merge file with your footprints. Im sure I have a few other videos that you would find helpful, there are over 75 videos on my channel about sbox.

http://www.youtube.com/user/looplinescrapebox/videos

But those should get you started. This one might be helpful too, it has a merge file that could be applied,

Anyway, all good, Im not mad at you, cheers and good luck.

i just got scrape box and want to know how to use the comment editor and the wysiwyg mode, what i want to do is add a my link/site in front of my comment, in comment editor there are some options add url, add intitle, add site, how do i use this and where will it get which domain i want in there, or does it get from the list where i enter my site for posting . I set up a few comments hit add link in front of each line it just said link in front of my comments, Now when i use the comment checker i see my spin test working and only see Site: Then comment , do i need to a format to set up first

Those are operators you can append for scraping. Such as

site:microsoft.com

lets you pull all the pages from microsoft.com (up to the 1000 max)

or

link:cars.com

The link operator is no longer supported for most engines, but it used to pull backlinks of domains.

You would have to write you comments out and put the link in it in html format, assuming your using the comments for blog commenting inside of scrapebox. Not all blogs support html, so success will be lower then if you don't use it. Also sometimes spam filters kick out comments with links, again lowing success.

However you would need to do like

Hi, this is a great blog, you could check out my blog if you like <a href="http://www.domain.com">this is my anchor text</a>. It should support spin text, so you could do

<a href="http://www.domain.com">{this is my anchor text|anchor 2|anchor 3}</a>

OR

You could just use the token

%WEBSITE%

and it will put a random url from the websites.txt file in there, and it will hyperlink it. More on tokens here:
http://scrapeboxfaq.com/what-tokens-can-i-use-in-the-comments-file

Finally I zeroed scrapebox to buy today or tomorrow for my first SEO tool, is this stated $57 for lifetime licence is the lowest price of this tool or lower then this price is also available in the market?
