How effective is the cheapest package ? If I ordered it for a month would it most likely get a low-competition microniche website to the front page of google ?

Thanks for your question. Although we cannot guarantee an exact position, I can say in the past, we've seen huge SERP movements from our Starter package on low-competition niche sites. Almost all have seen tremendous improvements. We've even had some reach top 3 rankings on all keywords.

Sure.
1. The Start and Power packages only use high quality web 2.0 properties and private blog posts for tier 1. We will also add manual social bookmarks from top social sites such as Digg, reddit, and tumblr. (the power has significantly higher authority backlinks)
2. You may submit 1-5 URL with 1-5 Keywords per package.

Thanks for your questions.
a) the starter package has roughly 35-50 high quality pr blog posts. Each article is unique and readable.
b) currently all links will remain. If this changes in the future, we will notify all clients at least 1 month in advanced. But that change would only pertain to future orders. Since all blog posts are extremely high quality on our private network, we have no problem keeping them.

We allow 5 keywords with 5 urls. Keep in mind, the more keywords, the more diluted the link power. We recommend keeping it at 3 keywords.
Yes, we also provide a detailed look at on site SEO and provide feedback if necessary.
