At the moment we dont do targeted high retention, but we are working on it and if all goes well we'll be able to offer it in about 10 days or so.

What is the differents between regular and retention views?

In a nutshell the difference between them are as follows:

Regular Views

These views are generally when only about 30 sec of the video is watched, therefore only increasing the view count of the video. There is absolutely not benefit to these views other than inflating your view count.

Retention Views

Now these are the babies you want. Depending on who supplies the views, 80 - 100% of the video is watched (ours are 98%+ retention no matter the length). This in turn makes YouTube think that since your video is being watched in full that it must be popular and so in turn YouTube makes your video rank better thus resulting in a possible Viral effect.
