Yes it uses google translate. So its subject to google banned IPs etc.., just fyi.

Thanks for the answer... what is your experience. does tranlated content via google translate work? is it seen as unique content, or are these translation stored somewhere to prevent using them for seo purposes?

It works. Ive not seen any evidence that google would store all of its translations to use against SEO. They would have no way of filtering out what is legitimate good copy.

Meaning say I happen to have an audience that speaks French, but I personally do not speak French. I can still write in English and translate to French to post on my quality authority site, or in a forum etc... and it would still be good content that google would want to index. Don't get too hung up on "avoiding filters" thats the wrong way to approach it anyway. Approach it from, "if I were google and I wanted to display the best results to my users, how would I see things". Because thats how they approach it. If you think like google, your more likely to be astute in the SEO game.

Not to mention your more likely to inadvertantly wind up producing something useful, and thats not a bad thing. :)
 
Backlink checker is just scraping the html of the page now for me. I think it has to do with the site changing its layout.

I was talking about the original backlink checker - is this still supported or do I have to use the Moz one?

Edit: I see it replaces it so I guess that answers that question :)

The original backlink checker 2 uses Alexa. Alexa used to give up to 1000 results, now they have alexa pro that you have to pay for and the free version gives a whopping 5 results. Given that Alexa data is quite old and refreshes months later then other sources like MOZ, and given the fact that Alexa data scope is significantly more limited, it makes sense to not even bother with it.

for instance if you do a backlink count on scrapebox.com alexa says it has like 2500 links and Moz says it has 12,000 links. so you can see how poor alexa data is in comparison of scope, not to mention that alexas updates are months behind moz. So basically its inferrior data and since they only let you scrape 5 back link results, there really is no point in using them at all.

Besides Alexa doesn't show you backlinks to inner pages as far as I know. So all of those Youtube videos I was trying to scrape backlinks for was probably just getting backlinks to the Youtube domain in general. No doubt SEO Moz is better but it's also clearly more of a pita. Either pay or setup lots of accounts, I already got an error after trying to check just 200 links.

Yes, Alexa is domain based only, so it did not support inner pages.

Yes MOZ is much better and yes with better data you either have to use a bunch of accounts or pay for it. I mean at the end of the day the better the data, the more its worth to you, and the more it probably cost MOZ to acquire, so they either have to go out of business or charge. Not ideal for us, cause we want it free, but at the same time, it is what it is.

Ideally find a couple of SEO friends that are trustworthy and split a $500 a month MOZ package with them and you can go really fast, and everyone gets what they want and you still aren't in it for too much money.

That or just use the method I showed in a video and scrape google for the links and build the data set yourself.

What is the error you got from MOZ?
 
Just have to say I love scrapebox. It would be cool to have a ahrefs plugin :)
 
While I agree Alexa does not provide the most freshest backlink data it does provide some value, the price is great also only $9.99 per month (first month free). Better priced than any other backlink data service.

It would be great if you guys can make Alexa backlink checker work with Alexa Pro account. This will help many that cannot afford the $500 for the MOZ backlink data. Also I have had to many issues with setting up many accounts with MOZ...still haven't got it to work properly.

Also with the Alexa Pro account you get more backlink data then usual +1,000 Alexa limit.

I am having a problem using Scrapebox to run a harvesting job, it constantly keeps freezing after the first 24 hours of the job for no apparent reason, do you have any suggestions as to what might be the cause?

What issues are you having with the Moz accounts? I have like 6 setup and running with no issue.

Does it give you an error or just say not responding? How many keywords are you loading in?
 
I'm getting Error400 when I'm trying to post to my blogspot blog using "Batch Poster of SB Article Scraper" .Anybody knows why it is and how to fix it..
