I downloaded a crack version of mountain lion and i swear i have a bug in my computer the instagram keeps getting hacked over and over..... I now have the paid version of mountain lion but i still have the bug or whatever what should i do!

Check out Sophos, Avast, iAntivirus or ClamXav. Better yet roll back!

There's no such thing as that. None that anyone's ever heard of. It's likely Instaget - if you got it from someone, I guarantee it had a RAT/keylogger attached. PM me if you need any more help.

I did get instaget from someone but I don't think it is the bot because at first I thought it was so revoked all access applications on Instagram and I got anti virus and anti malware etc all for my PC and I stopped using the bot and everything and My Instagram was still getting hacked into so I then realized I had downloaded a cracked version of mountain lion and I noticed my MacBook was acting super weird it would take like 10 hours to render videos it was super slow and also it takes like 9 mins to even start up now! I downloaded the legit authentic version but I am 100% sure there is something on my Mac! How can I remove it! Also I had been using instaget for a few months with no problems and as soon as I got the cracked Mac operating system everything has gone wrong

Can someone please recommend some free Mac software that gets rid of virus/malware/bugs the whole shabang!

I don't know much about instaget, does it run on the Mac natively? Or is it Windows only?

Ok, so how were you running on the Mac? Were you using a virtualizer like Parallels or Virtual Box? Or were you using Boot Camp?

No I was actually just running the bot on my PC and I have had no problems with the bot at all in fact my Instagram has never been hacked for over 2 months with using the bot it only keeps getting hacked as of recent right after I downloaded a cracked version of mountain lion onto my MacBook! I have a bug or something on my MacBook that I need to get removed! Also my Instagram has only been hacked while my Mac was connected to the Internet! My MacBook also runs super slow now and takes forever to start up! Please tell me how to remove the bug/virus/malware or whatever that is on my MacBook, (side note, I actually downloaded the authentic version of mountain lion now but the bug is still on the Mac)

Gotcha. Ok. Well, here is what I would do. Boot into Recovery (Shut Down Mac. Hold Option when you turn it back on. There should be Macintosh HD and Recovery) click on recovery.

You have two options at this point:

1) Reinstall the OS
Once in the Recovery you'll see it will say "OS X Utilities"
Choose the option to "install OS X" then continue from there. You'll probably be asked for your AppleID and since you've purchased it now. You shouldn't have any problems.

2) Erase and reinstall.
- Boot into the recovery
- Once in OS X Utilities Screen. Open Disk Utility
- Choose "Macintosh HD"
- The choose "erase"
- Make sure it's set to OS X Extended (Journaled)
- Once the erase is complete. Quit Disk utility
- You'll be taken back to the OS X Utilities Screen
- Choose Reinstall OS X.
Again from above, you'll be asked for an AppleID.

I'd start with option 1 first. If something is going on "under the hood" a reinstall of the OS will help. All your files will still be intact.

If it still doesn't work. I'd backup any files you might need (Music, movies, docs etc), I wouldn't use Time Machine because you might end up bringing in files that have been causing problem. Then I would go with Option 2.

Hope this helps!

What if I used option 1 and then also downloaded kaspercy anti virus for Mac?
