I recently started Podcasting, as another added piece of value, to my blog. When I started Podcasting, I couldn't help but to notice how much pull iTunes had in the Podcasting industry, so therefor I couldn't help but to try and get my Podcast added to the iTunes store.

I began by writing a Tutorial, teaching my readers how to start Podcasting, by providing all of the information that I received through 13 hours of in-depth research (this past sunday).

I submitted my podcast feed to iTunes for approval and believe it or not, I was approved. This was the very first Podcast I'd have ever created. I just received an email from iTunes, letting me know that I was approved, and the link that they provided me with in the email is as follows: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/gregory-smiths-search-engine/id639389932

When I reviewed that link, I was surprised to find that, I also received a link pointing to my site. Talk about a high quality link tier! Suppose I'll have to create yet another tiered link building tutorial :) maybe i'll name this one -- iTunes Link Tier Tutorial or something like that! :)

Just wanted to show you guys how I did this. If you follow the links or ask questions, you'll then be able to rinse and repeat my very strategy, before it's even released to the public.

I haven't had time to check if or not iTunes is d - follow or... n - follow... Really doesn't even matter. Thought it was a very cool link building share. hope you guys can enjoy it as much, if not mare than I have!

my seo q&a thread has officially been moved here....

Congrats on getting approved.

According to my add-on, those links on the bottom left are no-follows

Hi mate!

I personally haven't checked into that, but .....I can say that iTunes links are EXTREMELY POTENT! My Google Analytics has Sky Rocketed, every since I was approved into the iTunes store! Getting approved made me really happy, it's just another reminder that what I'm doing works. We all need to be reminded every now and then.

Links aren't just for SEO purposes, in fact SEO purposes are one very small beneficial aspect of what we should be creating links, as marketers. I subscribe to "Eric Wards" private Link Moses Newsletter, where he shares link alerts and his private (paid) newsletters are just awesome. There's nothing else like them. Michael Martinez also provides a private (paid) newsletter. I highly recommend his, as well.

Once again, thanks for your compliment! Kind words come few and far between on Blackhat forums. :)

Congrats on getting approved.

I'm trying too.

It's definitely worth a try -- please let me know how it goes!! Same thing goes with submitting content to seomoz, etc.. They have a content submission page, where you can submit guest posts, they take 30 days to approve you, But it's worth a try. I have recently been approved there too. Lots of people will show jealousy when you accomplish things like this, and you'll have many more competitors -- but it's a good laugh and lots of fun!!

thanks for posting
