Hi guys I''m offering free tutorials on Youtube (my goal is to collect email addresses).
The keyword I'm targeting has a low competition. So I made a video 4 months ago, added something like 8K views using shareyoutubevideo, around 100 likes thanks to youlikehits and that's all.
Right now I'm the #14 on the keyword (on youtube, not google). I do understand that considering my low efforts (any backlinks, nor comments) I deserve this positioning but the point is that above my video there are plenty of others with less than 1K views (sometimes it's around 200 views so beating them should be easy as fuck!). So what's wrong with my strategy ? Should I add comments, views or all of these?

Ps : I didn't mentioned that I set the video as private for maybe 2 month now and I just reopened it to public yesterday, so my question is : may this have an impact on my ranking and if yes, does it mean that the ranking would be better in a couple of days?

The funniest thing is that I performed exactly the same strategy for another video (without any comments nor backlinks) and for this one I'm #1 on youtube and google....

If you have any idea about what's wrong, feel free to share your point ;)

I would also order comments from fiverr or someone in bst. I know for sure that comments help videos rank.

Length of views, total watch time versus video, comments, also check in ahrefs about whether the top videos do got backlinks or not. Your problem seems to be that you might have used low retention views. Also, check your title, keywords, etc for on page seo factors.

Dude, do you expect to be 1st result on the first page with only 8k views and 100 likes? No comments, no favourites?
Add shitloads of RETENTION views, at least 150 comments, and 300+ likes (even more if you can). don't forget about favs. They are important too. Seriously, it's not that hard. If you make your video the first result, keep boosting it to maintain its position there.

Basically, if you want to rank a YouTube video, all you need are:

1. A good video people will love and appreciate for it's information otherwise it will attract more dislikes than likes.

2. Buy high quality views, likes, fav and sub from good providers..

3. Watch as your visitors grow overnight.

4. If you want your video to rank on Google, do some top quality back links and it will quickly rank based on the competition as well as system of SEO applied..

I've gotten page one and near the top on day one of uploading my video(low competition niche) with no fake views, comments, thumbs, or anything. All just by optimizing the title, description, tags, and so on. There are a lot of how-to's and tutorials on how to set yourself up right the first time. Here is just a couple things that help rank your vid on YT:

-Name your channel with your keyword(offering free tutorials? Name your channel something like "FreePhotoshopTutorials")
-Rename the video file that you're uploading with your keywords in it(something like freeclippingmasktutorial.mp4)
-The first 60 characters of your title MUST have your keywords in it.
-Make sure your keywords are toward the begging of the descriptions. I've had good results whenever I write at least two paragraphs. I'll insert my KWs no more than twice. (Some may disagree with me on this)
-HD video is a must! A video with HD quality will rank better than one with not
-I add CC to every video I upload. I've read that it helps. From what I've experienced it does.
-Don't go crazy with your tags. Use around 5 very targeted keywords.

Using the above optimizations on my videos has been very successful in regard to their ranks on YT. Adding any boosted views, thumbs, and etc. will be icing on the cake. But if you are purchasing low quality services they could be detrimental.

High retention views, blog posting, forum posting will help you a lot.Post your links on high PR forums.

Hmm. Dont blog comments just help with google rankings and not ranking IN youtube?
