Hi loopline,

you suggested previously when scraping Google, we should use 5 times more proxies than the number of scraping threads. For example if I have 50 private proxies, I should use 10 scraping threads.

Now that we have a lot more search engines to scrape from, not just Google, we should use more threads right? So if I have 50 private proxies and I scrape using 20 engines, then I should use 50/5*20=200 threads? Will Scrapebox distribute the threads evenly between search engines?

With the custom harvester it distributes the connections between the engines, more or less evenly. So if you were using 20 engines then yes you can use 200 threads, theoretically.

But that 5 times the proxies of connections rule is geared at google. Google clearly is the engine that gets used the most and thats the engine I have really tested with. I haven't gone thru all other 20 engines and specifically tested them. No doubt with some of them you can use a lot more connections safely and perhaps with some you will get banned more quickly then google. But its a reasonably conservative figure so its probably "mostly" safe and sound. Worst case drop them back to 10% or use 10 times as many proxies, so for 50 proxies use 5 connections per engine at 100 connections total for 20 engines. Etc...

As always? There's been more emails and support time spent on this license than i care for. The person you sold the license to through Payza is saying you scammed them, a PC your license was activated on started trying to bypass the activation server with a cracked copy, and to top it off i kept getting flooded with dozens of transfer requests minutes apart. This was delaying the whole userbase from getting their activations/transfers done.

So since there was a dispute about ownership, numerous emails i sent to the payment address were ignored and the delays this was causing everyone, i had to block your details from sending any requests to the server. A classic example why reselling licenses is not permitted.

I think you remember the whole story

I have not sold any license , even i helped a guy and bought license from my Paypal

And he sold it further .

But why my actual license is terminated ?

Anyway long story short , there were 3 licenses on my Paypal id , can only 1 single be activated which i can use for myself ?

Hello, 3 days ago I installed Scrapebox on a dedicated server i rented (from Volumedrive). I opened the registration window and tried to activate. I am still waiting (since 3 days) to get the activation code for Scrapebox.

For some reason my "old" license on my local computer is already deactivated. W H Y ?

No reply from support to my emails! what is going on?

Usually, when your old license was deactivated due to a transfer, then your new license was activated at the same time.
It could be a firewall at your end blocking ScrapeBox from authenticating which would look to you like your new license is inactive.

Do the "Test server connection" from the help menu.
Are all lights green?

thanks for your reply. I tried the "Test server connection" and it shows all "green" bars which means OK. I didn't receive any email from scrapebox. I think when I activated the first time when i bought it they sent me an activation code (not sure), this time I didn't get anything. This makes me wonder if they received my activation request and my emails...

You wont receive any activation code or such thing.
But we will check it. PM me your email address (the one used to transfer the license) so we can look up your account.

It is activated now. Maybe it was activated days ago but because I didn't restart scrapebox I couldn't see. Maybe you should add this to the "registration/activation" window that people HAVE TO restart scrapebox in order to get it activated. I was waiting for an activation code by email which obviously doesn't exist.

Like I mentioned a few posts up, you should get an email letting you know when the transfer is complete. Like you were advised earlier, there is no activation code, but they do let you know when it's been processed.

Here's one I received from my last transfer:

ScrapeBox License Transferred!

We received a request to reset your ScrapeBox license either due to a reformat, new PC or moving ScrapeBox on to another machine.


This request has been completed and ScrapeBox is ready to use.


If you have any problems, please don't hesitate to contact support by replying to this email. Your next free license transfer is available on 1st March 2013.
