I want to learn professional LOGO creating

Start with Graphic Springs free and basic logos and modify in Pixlr.com - an awesome free tool. Or if you are proficient enough to not need something to start with, again, Pixlr.com.

Not affiliated. Just a fan. I made my Twitter logo there and it didn't turn out half bad (I think). And I have ZERO ability to use Photoshop, draw, do graphics...anything. Just patience and free tools.

You have to go step by step, You cant become a pro over night .. so watch youtube videos and follow the suggestions mentioned above and one day, you will become a pro :)

Another shout that you must learn illustrator for logo design. Logos in vector format are essential if you are use it in physical formats. I used to run a print shop and could not believe the amount of artwork that we had to re-draw for clients as they only had .PSD files.

Hi,

I would like to suggest that before you go and get yourself a copy of all softwares, use the trial versions of them and get acquainted with it. Once you get to know the basics, you can go ans shell out your hard earned cash. You could also consider open source alternatives if you are a bit adventurous. I personally find the following softwares to be very useful for graphic designing.

1. Photoshop for image manipulation You don;t have to get the latest version, even Photoshop Version 7 should be fine for learning
(GIMP - open source image manipulation program, you could experiment, i'm still to try as i'm glued to photoshop for the moment)

2. Illustrator for vector images. Remember, your clients would use the logos for various purposes, giving them in vector format ensures, you can resize to any resolution, unlike the raster images which can be designed in Photoshop.

3. CorelDraw another vector image program, I personally use much of CorelDraw rather than Illustrator.

4. Inkscape - Open source alternative for Illustrator / CorelDraw.

Last but not the least, all latest Adobe programs like Photoshop / Illustrator use the same familiar interface, so you wouldn't have a steep learning curve if you happen to use them a lot

For the tutorials you find them in tons on the internet, I would suggest you to go to a training center, to get a general knowledge about the programs you are going to use. You can then refer to the advanced tutorials on the internet.

Good luck,

Graphic design is a talent, not so much a learned skill, are you naturally inclined to the arts?

I still use GIMP and Inkscape as I design for myself only. Really cool stuff and fun to use. I have played with ps products and maybe some day I will upgrade but no need now big I was going into business as a logo designer I wold go for the ps products.

The internet has made possiblities endless. Firstly, you can access an professional software you like. Can't afford it? Crack it.

Secondly, there is an ABUNDANCE of tutorial videos on Youtube ranging from start to pro for most things. Hell, I even Youtubed how to cut my fringe last night! lol ( off topic I know )

Illustrator and freehand are your friends. Explore the basic geometric forms, learn kerning. avoid using photoshop to create logos. Also have a look on 99designs, crowdspring get some inspiration on behance. my 2 cents

I want too.I know about photoshop basic tips but i want to be a professional desginer if anyone know about some tips or link please give me links about he photoshop tips.

I have to tell you, you need to use a Vector software if you're creating a true professional logo. I'll recommend Adobe Illustrator Cs6 because of its interface that is very similar to photoshop.

For logos you should use illustrator only even for a website.

You should search in Google and Youtube. U will get penalty of new tutorials and tips.
