The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

Danny, how do you determine the competitions of a keyword?

How do we know if it is difficult to rank and hence not wise to pursue or competition for the keyword is weak and should be able to rank easily?

That is the type of information you get from a keyword tool.

They tell you all sorts of information about the top 10 sites as well as how strong their backlinking is.
Then most will give you a ranking of how difficult the software perceives it to be.

Maybe head over to Robert S Keyword Squire 2 product BSt Thread and ask him to give you a link to the instructional videos -- so you can see how this is done and how to filter the results.

However please keep in mind --- that I don't wade into the Big Ponds of trying to rank Page 1 for something like Health Care as an example -- I'm finding a niche in a niche where I can rank Top 10 with nowhere near the effort it would take to do so for the larger stuff. Something that people would search before buying a product.

You may even be able to search Keyword Squire 2 and find the videos on YouTube - its just he gave me a link to view - so that's why I suggested just drop him a PM.

In saying that - you can use any keyword tool just about - they all will have similar functions......... I do think if you watch those you will get a better idea of how to put something together.

Let us know how you get along ... and yes before someone asks I will get the Themes done today ... all the best.

I just wanted to say one more thing at this point : I hope you guys get the point that I treat this Amazon Stuff as a business -- if something makes me money I spend more on it - if something doesn't perform it goes upon domain expiry.

Every site is given the chance to be successful but not every site will be -- and in successful niches I make 3-4-5 Sites targeting various areas of the niche. So I know sometimes I can sound a bit harsh or too direct -- but just remember that's just me and how I treat this -- and I will try to keep in mind that for some people this is just a hobby or an outsourcing project --> and as such try to be more patient .... thank you.

Thank you for sharing. Been lurking for a few days now. Had to reg to say thank you.

Danny are you spreading all your domains over a ton of hosting companies, especially if you are targeting the same niche with multiple sites?

Is your backlink velocity mimicking sites in the top 10 or do you make a ton of links for each site?

Thanks

Danny is great that you opened another thread, I liked the previous one. One thing: The product pages that you are making (not the articles or reviews), are they the same content from Details and Description from Amazon that WP Zon and WP Robot produces. Or are you combining them with other mixed scraped content from all around the net?

I bought extra ip's and created a bunch of accounts and allocate related sites to different accounts (not necessary for most)

If your creating a Blog Network your developing for links then it would be essential to use a bunch of hosts etc. as your suggesting.

I think the best answer to your BackLinking Question is this - I'm looking at a 3-5 year horizon - I dominate niches via content targeting buyer questions -- backlinking is steady. I'm sure many people will overdo link building looking for quick sales - that's not how I have built what I am doing.

* No edit the post template - or add your unique stuff once its done...or just do it manually.
* That's right I would choose a sub niche and not the larger niche itself and make a site for each one I selected ... but its up to you how good you are really - because too many things in one area will not give you a stable income it will fluctuate a lot. I have a couple and when Dr Oz has the products on his show - Sales go through the roof for a week or so.

Themes :

Any discussion of themes is a personal decision and any time you use a theme you should learn how to mod it - so as to get the most out of it and allow for maximum visitor satisfaction.
I want to stress that if you don't take care on your presentation and just grab a theme - throw on content and don't make much effort you are just shooting yourself in the foot.

My personal choice is to favor Magazine Themes where you can present the answers / set up nice product boxes / provide reviews and add additional content - that is well organized. You may however not want to spend so much time learning how to do that - so you may choose to go with a review type theme.

Hey Danny1111, thanks a lot mate. I just wanted to ask you some questions if you don't mind.

- What do you suggest for an EMD : .com / .org / .net ?
- Aren't the EMD bad after the google's update ?
- 1~4K Exact search with HIGH competition (from Adwords tools), are those good niches to invest in ?
- What's the % of keyword's density to put per article ?
- How about targeting more than one keyword in each article ? and should I apply the same keyword density to those ones too ?

As far as I know, the articles must not be something like : {product name} {brand} {serie} ... But be more like : What's the best {product type} ? How to choose your first {product type} ? ...

Can you please provide us with more examples like that ?

Thanks again.

* .com
* my opinion no
* it's up to you - it's your site do you think that will make you money ? have you checked out Page 1 for multiple keywords ? what do your competitors sites look like ? how much work is in it to rank well ?
* randomize
* yes - randomize
* it you were to buy $1,000 Netgear GGHH7865 Super Dooper Wireless Router for example - what would you type into Google to find out more information about it before you bought one -- those are your article titles.

It really does no good for me to write perfect answers for you because 1. your not learning anything or researching anything 2. everyone will just use the same thing and defeat the whole purpose.

Also when your building your site - every site doesn't have the exact same thing down to the keyword density - mix things up even if you use the same template once you figure out how to make it your own ..... you gotta remember we are trying to milk Google - a company with mega budget and mega employees ... be smart about it.

Danny1111, I like that you giving your thought process and not simple step by step directions that could be outdated tomorrow. I'm learning a lot.

why dont you just copy/paste amazon reviews written from real people, and build your EMD site with those?
GG don't index those reviews from amazon so I think we can use them to create unique content, isnt it?

Another method : just pickup reviews for another product/brand, and replace the product/brand name by the one you want to target.

If you think you've got a shortcut for beating Google by using existing Amazon reviews - or mix mashing them up -- go ahead and try it - I'm giving you one way that I know works - I very much doubt that sites built that way will last long - but that means nothing really its just my opinion ... wish you luck with it.

Exactly - I'm not going to sit here - pick a niche/domain tell you the products and articles to add to the site - pick a theme - mod it and pick the images from IStockPhoto - then tell you step by step how to Seo a Site - then throw in how to get Social Traffic ........ every person needs their own "secret sauce" as to what makes your sites successful..... and you get that from trial/error/correction and using your brain ...... the biggest tip I can give any person is develop a process that works so you can scale it ... if you don't have a proper process for how you do this -- then I'm not sure it would work out for you in the long run.

You take 2011NFL's method of making some simple links and posting on CL - I made a custom site and got quite a bit of traffic but no Sales testing it out - However it does show some potential -- but that's up to me to figure out not just keep banging my head against the wall doing it the first way I tried.

subscribed - also you could find partial emds on expireddomains.net, it would make the process much faster since you have an aged domain ready for seo. :)

Keyword tools like this are good. They automate a lot of the grunt work. This one is dependent on 'suggest' data (the quality of which will dependent on your seed keywords) and average data from searches, e.g. Google Adwords tool, which may not be completely accurate. For our purposes (beginner to intermediate) it's fine.

From what I've seen we are targetting almost the same strategy so I am sure you've seen: www.bestreviews2013.com
How do you explain that it remained in SERPs even if it has just spuned content, unreadable and crap backlinks from blog comments on huge spam links? :)
