I am a newbie on SEO... It's easy to use this soft???

Hi @grocky,

Thanks for your message. We like to think that the software is easy to use, while still giving you the maximum amount of flexibility to tailor it to your own specific needs. We try to set the defaults to match what we are using in our personal accounts so that you don't have to guess what is the best. Additionally, we offer a wide-array of pre-recorded training videos ( http://www.linkemperor.com/training ) along with a responsive customer support team that will help you with any aspect of the system.

I would recommend you try us out on the 7 day trial and see what you think. If you need any help, we are just an e-mail or call away.

Will this get my new site penalized if I only use this software and nothing else to build links?

Hi @ultimatebird,

We use Link Emperor for all of our link building needs for many of our sites and see great results. Link Emperor is designed to be a complete off page SEO solution providing ongoing link building from several different vendors. This is all designed to provide you with a wide link portfolio and the best results possible. We rank our vendors in real time based on several factors such as index rate, ip diversity, successful links and deliverability just to name but a few.

As for penalties we have two answers. One that our lawyers forced us to give and another that comes from our own personal experience.

Our lawyers want you to know that if you choose to use Link Emperor, we can't be responsible for anything that happens to your website (even if you really think that it was caused by us). We are an external tool that doesn't make any changes to your actual website, unless you're optionally using the extremely limited snippet of PHP code offered with our link network functionality -- other than that, we only build links on other pages on the Internet.

The answer that we prefer to give, and the one that we tell to our friends, is that if we knew how to get sites banned by Google, we'd much rather sell that service. Think about it -- if, for the price of a Link Emperor Subscription, you could knock all your competitors out of the rankings, we'd suggest doing that! But basically, Google avoids penalizing websites for external factors that are outside of the webmaster's control. Otherwise, SEO would be a dirty, dirty war and Google wouldn't know who to believe.

Any SEO worth their salt will tell you the same thing.

I hope this helps, ultimatebird!

If there is anything else you may need going forward please do not hesitate to let us know!

Thanks again,

how is using plr articles and articles generated by article builder help you in seo? I mean you can't use those for Tier 1 links, as they will do you no good. Aren't PLR articles used all the times?

I'm also curious if anyone has any experience using this service on a new site, and this is the only service you're using - if perhaps that makes it more obvious?

Hi Hits79!
Thanks for checking out our thread!

If you choose to use the PLR option, then all articles are spun before going out to help cut down on duplicate content. With ArticleBuilder, these articles tend to be more unique than most think. Depending on the niche, my tests put it between 60%-98% unique. (Obviously, the more popular niches are, the lower uniqueness per article)

We do allow our clients to upload their own articles if they are worried about duplicate content. We allow all of this manual articles in full Spintax as well. You are able to either upload them on at a time, or in bulk through a .ZIP file.

Given the scope of the campaigns that we run, we usually just allow the system to use a combination of PLR and AB articles and have not noticed any negative consequences to our site. Google's algorithm when it comes to determining article quality is not quite as smart as most people think. ;)
But again, we do allow manual article uploads if this suits you better.

I hope this helps, Hits79 If there is anything else that we can do for you please don't hesitate to get in touch with us!

Hey erikandash!
Thanks for checking us out!

It sounds like you are looking for some member input on our service, which is totally cool! I just wanted to point out that many of our clients use Link Emperor on new sites and have seen great success!

Usually with a newer site we recommend using our Tiered Link Building settings so that there are not too many links being built directly to the main site, but rather to the buffer tiers. Then, as time goes by and your site gains more authority you can back off the tier settings and build more to your main site.

I hope this helps, guys! If there is anything else that we can do for you please don't hesitate to get in touch with us!

Hey, back again.

I thought I would give this another try a few months later to see if it has got any better.

All I can say man is the services do not live up to your site. I would be happy to pay a little more for higher quality service rather than the crap I have been given in the reports. The articles they use are completely irrelevant and you can tell it is just half assed crap from very very cheap outsourced companies.

The reports given to me made me cringe. Web2.0 creation, I was ordering for a gaming site. I got back a spun fishing article lol. Also note that this same article was used on 2 separate blog network orders claiming they are all different providers.

So the 3 different providers have used the same article for the same site. So I have had same article spun a good 40 - 60 times going to my site. It kind of pissed me off too be honest. Hopefully I can get a refund because I won't dare spend my credits on anything else. Both times I have tried your service I have had a horrible experience with the quality of the work.

Absolutely agree with this post. I tried out their service and worked closely with brett from customer service. He was the best part of the experience. The rest was links that are equivalent to a fiver gig... And constantly being spammed. Their idea of 'ranking post penguin' is to spam as much garbage as possible until you eventually get noticed... NOPE, doesn't work.

I told them the same thing, I'd be willing to pay a lot more money if it was better quality. I was entering my OWN articles, which I expected the system to spin before posting, and it ended up spamming duplicate content all over the place.
I entered spintax for the title, and the titles were posted AS the {spintax|spam}... it was ridiculous. AND i specified do not use generated articles, and entered my own articles... What does it do? Posts a bunch of duplicate articles about poker when my niche is pharma.

I tried this service twice as well, both times were terrible.
I think senuke ripped this idea off, and is working on improving it. They have emails that came out about it.

The worst part is, when I told the owners about all the problems, they shurgged me off as if I had no idea how to do seo.

They're living in the scrapebox spam era of seo, and think that kind of garbage is still feasible.

We'll probably see some fake account posts after this and they'll be highlighted and quoted. Last time I tried to bring a rational discussion to the table, they completely threw it back in my face because their ego's were hurt.

I have a strong feeling that when the links are indexed, it's going to screw up my serps because of a ton of duplicate content. (not exaggerating). And even the spun content isn't passable for penguin and panda. Gives you maybe a 10-15% unique. OR less.

better off hiring fiver gigs to be honest, at least there's a little more control before it's too late and the blasts get sent out.

Edit: Sorry brett, you're a great guy to work with, but unfortunately the owners just don't get it. We went over some very rational points and you listened to me closely. Hopefully you can get them to fix their massive problems in their system.

They even integrated an option to block vendors you didn't like from one of my suggestions.

Hey guys,

Sorry for my delay in jumping in here. I've been moved from the customer support department so I don't typically get to BHW as often as I used to. @pompano and @abyssal_miss I do appreciate your kind words. I do my best to help in any way I possibly can, and I know that sometimes that isn't always enough. Thank you though for at least allowing our team to attempt to serve and meet your needs.

I would like to take an opportunity to at least reply to a few of the points you mentioned so that prospective customers can understand that there are many ways to use the system.

pompano said:

It sounds like you are using articles that are being auto-generated from the system. The way this works is that we pool the words on your keywords tab and search our PLR database for these words, spin the article and supply to the vendor. I admit, depending on the words included in your keywords, it can pull off-topic articles; however, the majority of the time I see on-topic articles.

When anyone asks me for my opinion on articles, I always recommend going with manually written articles that you upload in spintax. When you do this (and turn the auto-gen settings to off), the system will only use your content for your orders and you will get a better result all around. The trade-off here is time for quality. We also have a middle of the road option that allows you to generate articles (either from our PLR database or ArticleBuilder.net interface) and approve them into your campaign before used in an order. Again, if you do this option you will want to make sure your auto-gen setting is off.

pompano said:

This is very possible and is not a function of the vendor but rather the system. Articles in Link Emperor live inside your campaign and thus will be used and rotated through for all orders (regardless of the vendor that it gets sent to). To limit this duplication, we have the auto-gen function (which has some limitations mentioned above) or you can upload numerous articles into the system in order to have a larger pool from which the system will order from. Finally, if you have an article that has been used "enough times" (relative to your own definition), then you can simply remove it from the campaign and it won't be used for any future orders.

Absolutely! I think this thread and other black hatters know us well enough that we always stand behind our 30-day money back guarantee. We want happy customers and when we can't hit the mark, we don't want you to have to pay for that. Just make sure you send in a support ticket to [email protected] and one of the guys will make sure that happens as soon as they see the ticket. Additionally, you can always give us a call and we can process it over the phone for you.

Yep! I remember working with you on this issue. As we discovered and worked through, this was a couple of temporary bugs in both our system and one of the vendors. As soon as you notified me via Skype, I immediately contacted the vendor and they began isolating the problem and coding a solution. I can tell you that I haven't seen this problem since they were able to fix it, and the auto-generation settings were immediately updated to prevent the problem that you experienced. I definitely hate when these things happened and do what I can to handle them and get them resolved as soon as I find out about them.

abyssal_miss said:

I don't really want to go here. You and I had a lot of long conversations on Skype (and continue to talk on it). I agree that after getting to know you, we totally misread your belief and experience from the way you had your account set up. You had a specific limited set up for testing, and we assumed it was your full plan. That being said, I think Kevin and Bobby both lead Link Emperor in a positive direction and have a platform that not only continues to work, but is a great automated solution. Especially when you follow the tiered link building and/or parasite strategies that they lay out in the various trainings and webinars. It is not the perfect solution for everyone. I wish it was, because I totally respect you and would love to be able to help you.

Not from me or anyone directed by us. I hope our conversations have given you enough faith in me to know that I have never and will never lie to you.

Ultimately, I can only do my best to assure you that we (the entire Link Emperor team) are doing our best to continue to improve the service and the services our vendors offer through our marketplace. I am always here to take feedback directly, resolve problems, and hopefully create a system to prevent them from happening in the future. Kevin and Bobby do an amazing job of continually adding new ideas for ways to expand and improve the system and continue to grow and we have an amazing team to carry out those plans.

I would absolutely be willing to meet with you guys (or anyone) personally via Skype or phone and see if there is anything that I can do within my scope and power to assist you guys and assist. I am sorry again that we couldn't meet your desires. I assure you that I take all of your comments seriously and will use them to fuel the growth of this company.

HI guys

We've had a great run using your service for the past year, but we got absolutely annihilated but the recent Google pengiun 2.0 update! More than 20 of our top sites dropped by big numbers, all of them on the 1st page. Example below.

rankings.png

It's safe to say Link Emperor is not pengiun safe as we only used your service for our link building. We did have a good run though and thank you for those good times. If you can somehow improve the quality of the service, we will come back, but for now we have to through away all these domains, and cancel our account.

Hi Webup,

Sorry to hear your sites where affected by the update. We actually have very few Link Emperor members that have been affected. Less than 1% of our users have reported being hit by the new update.

While there is risk with all backlinking Let me hit some of the more prevalent points Matt Cutts went over in the announcement video for Penguin 2.0.

- Link networks might get in trouble:

We aren't a link network, we use 60+ vendors that all provide links and different link types from all over the internet, basically leaving no foot print and appearing very natural. Exactly what Google wants.

The only thing that could possibly be tracked back is the use of spun articles and we are migrating to a new system right now that will have a unique article for each and every link built! That's right, we have developed the technology to send UNIQUE articles for EACH AND EVERY LINK BUILT. This is something you won't find any other service offering!

We already have some of our link vendors live and operational doing this. While it will take a little time to make the migration, in the near furture we will have all our vendors supporting this new upgrade.

- Google is going to analyze backlinks better:

It's always hard to know what link types they will devalue or how they will analyze them until the update has had a little time and some testing is done but generally speaking we can easily make adjustments in the system to make sure everyone is receiving an optimal linking portfolio and with unique articles in place for each link, this shouldn't be a problem.

- Authority websites will get a ranking boost:

We have designed Link Emperor to support a ton of keywords with automated anchor text randomization and all of your sites pages. We always recommend building links to as many pages in your sites as possible and using Parasites, or high authority sites such as YouTube, Facebook, PR's and more linking back to your site. This is the authority site model and exactly what Google is looking for!

With all that said, we do have very few users overall that have been hit by this update and some great new link building operations currently in the works that will revolutionize link building.

Until we are able to experience the update a bit more and make any small adjustments accordingly, everything should still be running optimally and great results are not out of reach.

Webup, if you would like to send me a PM with your username I'd be happy to take a look over your account and campaigns. See if any particular settings may have caused the drops with the new update.

Yours in service,

Karson - Support Specialist
