Got a problem with activating my licence on a bermanhosting vps.
As its holidays ive not had anything from support for a while.

So has anyone else had similar problem? What could I look at to fix it seeing as ive already reinstalled etc?

SB has worked fine through many transfers but now it wont activate and i feel a bit lost without it at the moment.

Have you downloaded the latest version of scrapebox from here: http://www.scrapebox.com/payment-received

If you're running the latest version it's possible that your problem might be related to some problems with berman recently.

The indexer service list you load is multiplied by the number of sites you load and the total can't exceed more then the number listed there thats slightly over 1 million total. My calculator says your trying to use an indexer service list of just under 2500 urls if your using 500 sites. That or your using a massive list of urls times your 500 indexer service list, not sure what you meant. I cover it in my vid:

No. Scrapebox doesn't load the page in a browser like your thinking or anything like that. It sends a standard ping, like when you open command prompt and hit ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx etc...
its just basic packets of info, and its just sent. It doesn't even load the page.

bermanhosting uses images with the same windows ID. So its probably being activated and then if someone else on berman hosting is trying to activate and run sbox before you do it will connect to your license. Im guessing, but that could be it. It also could be that you have used up your free transfers for the month, or that something is blocking scrapebox etc...

If you go to help >> test server connection - do you have 6 green lights? or some red?

Support can fix you up, and they have been responding to me, I even emailed them a Merry Christmas and got a response on Christmas day. Anywho, check your spam folder, make sure you whitelist @scrapebox.com and you can try the contact form:

Thats interesting. Reading that it looks like it could be the same problem for me - due to theshared hardware id's.
Im running the latest version from the payment received page and get all green lights on connection test. I also sent the debug logs to support.

thanks, its good to know. Ive been through the test with support and they just said it was a problem with the vps. I'll email them again and mention this.

You do need the latest version.Just put scrapebox on a vps,wouldn't activate,grabbed the latest version,accepted the activation info no problem.

Such a good tool that I dont bother to transfer licences, i just buy a new one and its still very much the most profitiable tool i've ever used. Never done a blog comment with it either

just up update. My problem with the licence transfer not activating was fixed by running the SBPREP.exe program from SB support.

Thats a very loaded question. I could spend a week answering it and only scratch the surface. If you can be more specific about exactly what you want to use scrapebox for in the process or how you want to go about it I would be happy to help.

If you wanting an A to Z how to rank your site with sbox and dominate the web, thats beyond the scope of this thread, and at that, somewhat of a competitive advantage for those who have worked hard for years to understand seo etc...

Hi,

First and foremost Scrapebox rocks!

I have a quick two questions about Scrapebox's proxy manager. I was wondering how I can change the proxy testing connections to something higher than 200. When I go into the Configuration folder and edit the proxymanager.ini file to a higher number, Scrapebox will reset it back to 200, not allowing me to go higher. I've been editing it with notepad++, should I do or use something different?

Also, I was wondering why in the 'Socks' column of the proxy manager that it always says N for every proxy, when I'm pretty sure I'm testing SOCKS proxies because in other proxy managers they say they are.

Scrapebox's proxy manager is my first choice when I want to make sure a proxy is good, and I really want to crank it up.

I haven't tried messing with the proxy config file myself, but I have done similar with trackbacks before. What I noticed is if you open connection settings after editing the file it will reset them back to 100, but if you just run you list without going in to settings it will run at the higher rate.

That said, it possible it's different with the proxy checker as proxies are processed through scrapebox's servers so there might be a hard set limit.

I'm on my mobile at the moment, so can't really test.

EDIT - Just tested it and providing you don't enter the configuration panel in proxy harvester it seems to work fine. I just tested it by running 300 connections and it worked, but bare in mind what I said about it running through Scrapebox's servers. They might not to be happy about you running it higher than 200 connections.
