Remove a certain page from search results

Hello everyone,

I will get straight to the point. I have an online business and the BBB (Better Business Bureau) has negative ratings about my website. I have done everything possible to resolve each and every issue that I received from the BBB but they keep wanting me to pay to have my rating raised to a higher grade. I refuse to allow those cheaters to do this to me and to anyone else. I am in need of the following:

I need my BBB page listed in search results completely removed from Google search or removed off of the first page on a few certain terms. I will be glad to go into more detail but please let me know if this can be done somehow. I am wiling to pay!

personally what comes to mine is neg seo but idk there seems to be a lot of people who debate the fact that it even works, although if you yourself can be hurt by bad seo then I dont see why you cant hurt others seo rank. I remember reading around here something about doing a 302 redirect or some shit to that appeared to screw with ranking. If I were you I would start doing some searches on negative seo, you should find a few interesting threads on here.

I don't think you can remove it.

Most likely your best option is to push it down the serps as far as you can. It will end up costing you though... maybe as much or more as paying off the BBB racketeers. If you end up paying the BBB you'll at least be able to boast your positive rep with them.

I understand where you are coming from. But I rather give someone else the money than giving to the BBB. If it cannot be removed, I am happy with moving it down the serps, preferably off the 1st page.

the bbb review falls under ftc guidelines, you have to figure out or invent whats breaking a specific guideline or law and push it and push it until you win. What does the bbb upgrade cost $80? Just put that towards the cost of doing business. What was the bad review and whats your budget?

I have tried negative SEO before for educational purposes but I never saw a big enough effect for it to seem effective. I am no expert though, so I could have easily missed something I should have done. Have you has any success with it?

I wish it only costs $80 lol. They are trying to charge me $875 annually. PLUS a $325 setup/maintenance fee. It is insane!

Your best bet is to threaten to sue the BBB, hit them with trademark infringement and trying to profit off of your company name. Demand they remove you from their program as your company will not participate in their scam, cause the BBB is nothing but a big scam. I have seen this work in the past.

As for removing it from the SERPs do a search in this forum it has been covered a zillion times before, summary: not going to happen. In fact if you try doing negative SEO to their domain it will not work cause their domain name is so authoritative it will just help it rank higher.

so your looking at around $1200 to take care of your problem, if that takes care of your problem that's a chunk of money, but solution and it's over. How much does 1 lost sale cost you. What happens the next time you have a complaint.

personally I have never even attempted negative seo, just never had a reason to. I do recall reading several threads on here where users claimed success. I see where you are coming from but it is just the principal of having to pay a company that is a complete sham. They use their power to hurt small businesses. I just do not want to cave in to their scheme. I was hoping there was another way to go about this.

Raise your prices dude, the bbb has been sticking it to business's for years. If this is taking time away from you running your operation, you need find a good reputation management person or agency, or a full blow pr agency. But if your going to spend time fixing this, your looking at least 8-10 hours plus costs. Or pay the fees and make more money. Some lawyers will take on the bbb, but guess what they don't want to be thrown under the bus either. Lawyer, if they know internet and fraud law are at least $150 a hour, and they never seem to get things down in 1 hour. Just my thoughts, and personal experiences. At the very least you can send a certified letter disputing this with a reference to the ftc review laws,, might work.

It can cost thousands of dollars to push the BBB listing out of the top 100 and is a very time consuming process. I suggest you either pay off the BBB or threaten to sue them.

Don't bother trying to negative SEO BBB, I've done this (a heavy assault -- millions of links) to authority sites before (Not, BBB though) and it just knocks them out for about 2 weeks and then they come back strong as hell. For small sites Neg. SEO works wonders, but a site like BBB would take forever and thousands upon thousands of dollars to push out of the SERPS with Neg. SEO.

Not only that, with the Google Disavow tool they could strip any links you created anyways, or simply move your page url and you'd have to start all over again.

A good reputation management campaign is likely going to cost you more, but you'll control the first page better.

there is no point in trying to neg SEO the BBB, and very costly to push them out of the rankings. I think your best bet is to either pay them off, or start a legal battle from hell (which i doubt many lawyers are willing to touch). benefits of just paying them off: no more lost sales because of it- and possibly some good reviews on the BBB that gain you business. unfortunately, I think caving to the BBB is a necessary evil under these circumstances.
