[WARNING] Maxbounty - Dont send them black traffic

$6k is big. If that kind of money is stripped from me, I go storm the office, then post about it.

If you are serious about fraudulent traffic, why wouldn't your AMs and compliance department work together?

This is such a good point -- my gf and I just came to the same conclusion together. It's not like MaxBounty is a huge company, I'm sure everyone at the very least hears rumors of what is going on.

Perhaps Steve, you could let us know if you will be paid in part for the traffic given by this affiliate?

^^^ Question of the day.

This affiliate was not "advertising on Instagram". He was comment spamming Instagram photos. This violates both Instagram's terms and conditions:

11. You must not create or submit unwanted email or comments to any Instagram members ("Spam").

as well as MaxBounty's:

4.7. Affiliate must not display any Ad in third party newsgroups, social networks, message boards, blogs, link farms, counters, chatrooms or guestbooks without the consent of such third party entity.

He was caught, he was terminated. Really not much else to report.

yeah right but if he continue sending traffic you wont ban him right ? LOL until payments day

Okey Maxbounty shaves why ? You will see

so i used 2 networks maxbounty and other
they both have same offer and same payout also using the same methods to drive traffic but

1 network made $200 + in 2 days
while MB makes maybe $200 in like months

so about that offer
mb converts 140:3 = $14 made but 1st leads comes easy and then nothing. The more traffic i send the less i make, so fuck em
other network 600Clicks 47 conversions = $220 made .
Yesterday send traffic to that other network today in maxbounty and it just sucks 72 clicks today and 0 made.

This is my experience and i will never go back with maxbounty because of huge shaving
also did the same experiment with other networks and results were different. And of course MB was lowest for me while other network offers converted like crazy with the same traffic

so conclussion : Leave maxbounty and make money somewhere else because MB will shave you like a sheep !

This is a load of crock.

No reputable CPA network behaves like this. You clearly knew what the score was from day 1 and even sent him emails claiming he was close to winning some elusive prize asking him to bump his volume. The advertiser clearly was happy with the traffic. Come payday you then ban him for 'fraud'. It's not fraud at all. Fraud is fake leads that don't convert on the back end.

If you had asked him to increase his volume that that means you'd already looked into his traffic. We both know that no network is going to ask someone to pump up the volume on leads that aren't converting at the back end. If it gets to the stage where the network is asking you to increase volume then they MUST have checked the traffic quality. Asking someone to increase volume on fraud leads would risk the network losing the advertiser, so they would never do that.

The bullshit in your post shines through and I'm sure you'll lose a LOT of potential affiliates from this thread. A CPA network can't do business like that and survive in the long-term. There's just too many good networks who you can be honest and up-front with and who will reciprocate.

All this crap about 'violating 3rd party terms' is utter nonsense. You know how this game works. Half the advertisers are as blackhat as they come.

The only thing that matters at the end of the day is whether or not the traffic converts for the advertiser and the way my affiliate network does business with me is I tell them what I'm doing, send a test and they then get in contact with the advertiser to find out if they want more traffic. If it converts, I pump it up and get paid. Everyone wins.

I for one will never do business with MB and I'll be recommending to my business associates to stay well away.

Please list all the networks that allow spam as a means of traffic. Oh, that's right...there are none.

All I'll say to this is. lol. (Ok, I'll say a bit more, haha )

You've got a lot to learn about the affiliate business. All most advertisers care about is conversions. Money talks.

The guys who run the email submits will take ANYTHING. They're as dirty as they come. As long as it's REAL data you're good to go.

The only people who don't like spam are people like CJ who represent brick and mortar businesses, but in the CPA world it's a completely different story.

Do you really think the guys who create the teeth whitening products really give a shit? :)

There's a big difference between spam and fraud. If you make the advertiser money you're good to go.

Comment spam works. It makes a lot of advertisers money. I guarantee the advertiser the OP was pushing to made money and I guarantee MB got paid in full.

If your hoping to get lucky tonight, id suggest you move the topic of conversation along bro, can't see this getting you anywhere :p

I'm just little bothered that social media (spam if you may call it) is concidered as SPAM, yes posting the offer by spamming is blackhat but the person who clicks the offer is GENUINE.
Thus it would be imo very reasonable to poke the affiliate about the traffic method -> "We have found that you use blabla method, this is last warning and we urge you to change traffic method with our company" AND NOT SUSPEND THE ACCOUNT WITH "FRAUDULEN" LEADS RIGHT AWAY!!!

Going to microworkers to pay someone filling your offers, THATS FRAUDULENT!!

If you guys (MB) would just have informed about this to OP before suspending i bet he/she would have paused all campaings untill he would have found better way to monetize your offers legitly, more compliant to network rules.

Representer of MaxBounty, please reply to my post, thanks.

Completely agree with BlueTurtle and kirkon. I really can't predict now what will Steve say to all of this.
Like I said earlier - I'm done with MB and I don't have any intention to recommend them to anyone. And I assume they will lose a lot of affiliates after this thread.

@BlueTurtle, thanks I really liked your reply.

I forgot to mention something, when I replied to adam's email that I am waiting on payment to re run traffic.
This was his reply:
Hey,

Oh okay, no problem.

You get paid in 11 days from now, so not too far.

Then you are on weekly payments.

If you really ramp you could get in a winning contest spot.

Cheers,

Then surprisingly I got banned 24 hours later.

For people who are blabbering that I am whining for being banned from maxbounty, I know what I did was wrong, but my point is, the way they did it.
They had me push as much traffic as I can, and when they found out I am waiting on payday they banned me because they knew they were going to ban me on payday since the first day.

Regarding the traffic, I KNOW for sure that the advertiser Loves my traffic, and I KNOW that MB will be paid/was paid for my leads. Oh by the way if i had bad traffic Adam wouldn't be asking me to increase the volume would he ?

I am so sorry for you mate. It sucks bad especially when you have financials commitments lining up already expecting that payout. I was about to apply but I think I will stick with Peerfly.

That feeling when you're doing so well, and banking $$$, and then payday comes and you get banned. $6k can't simply be ignored. It would take me months of hard work to earn this amount of money. I wish you luck, and hope you get what you deserve. Life is indeed difficult. We make money, we lose money, but in the end, experience is more important. Cheers.

You did absolutely NOTHING wrong, mate. Not a thing. Don't let noobs who don't know how the industry works tell you that you got what you deserve for sending 'blackhat' traffic. There's too many people here that just regurgitate the same old nonsense because they read it somewhere.

Social media is not fraud. It's a lower quality traffic, but people who visit the offers are genuine and real leads.

On the main network where they list the promotion methods allowed like "banner traffic, search" etc one of them is "social media". You get some versions of offers which are built specifically for social media(usually with a slightly lower payout though)

You weren't actually doing anything 'blackhat' either. That word is over-used. The whole CPA industry is 'blackhat'. There's no blackhat, greyhat or whitehat. There's either leads that convert or leads that don't.

Also, in that last email you posted where they say they're switching you to weeklies.. The reason why almost no network will give people weeklies from day 1 is because they want to test the quality of your traffic first. If they're offering you weeklies that means they've assessed the quality and the advertiser is happy.

MB are just completely full of crap. It's embarrassing. I've got quite a few of the big network owners on my facebook so I chat about a lot of stuff with them now and again which is why I have a fairly good understanding of how things work and why I can see the BS oozing from Steve. :-)

You live and you learn. $6k isn't a lot of money at the end of the day and if your method still works just push it to another network.

A tip though.. Always be totally up front with your AM. Tell him exactly what you're doing (not enough for him to steal it of course), but tell them it's comment spam and ALWAYS say to them you understand how the business works that the advertiser needs to get paid so what you'd like to do is run a small test so the advertiser can check quality.

Your AM should be able to tell you which advertisers will be ok with that kind of traffic too. Not *ALL* CPA advertisers will accept it for various reasons. Some might have had bad experiences with a certain type of traffic etc.

The key thing is communication. It's all about money and business. Having that mutual understanding about what's going on. When you have that you can push hard and scale, knowing you'll get paid.

I'd avoid the bigger more corporate networks. The affiliate managers there don't know how the game works and just have a set of rules to follow for the most part. You want a smaller, more private network that's been around for a while.

Interview your network. You're the one with the money. Ask them questions and make sure they know their shit because the market is saturated with crappy networks who have no business doing what they're doing.

Good luck :)

Social Traffic is legitimately purchased traffic from social media sites where the site owner has given permission by writing or by the presence of an advertising platform.

It is NOT comment spam, ad posting, fake profiles etc.

YES some advertisers dont care, and some networks dont care, they assume they wont be sued, and are happy with traffic thats converts for them from anywhere. MaxBounty is one of the strictest networks for sticking to the rules - I suggest if in doubt run the full campaign past your AM, and get written (email) approval for the campaign. If you cant do this, the method is too black for the network, and you DO stand to loose commissions if you get caught.

From the OP the dates seem to be awful close to an end of month network payment / quality check, which may explain the 'sneakyness' of the ban just prior to payout. I still dont see an answer from Steve on if Maxbounty were paid anything for these leads?

These are fair points from a more diplomatic/neutral standpoint than I've taken. :-)

I'd add that if going down the route where you're working with a potentially strict network I would request a mailed/signed approval letter since email can never really be used as evidence.

Comment posting on a social media website is not spam, unless its unrelated information to what is being said.
