This is just isn't fair, being remotely located doesn't mean people should act like they do. But it's an internet, and stories like this are spread really fast which hurts a reputation of the whole company

Being banned on the payment day, is one of the worst feelings in this world. I wouldn't wish this not even to my greatest enemy, not that I would have one, but it sucks, as I know it for sure when I first started in IM and got banned on payment day for a few k while Iw as a noob. From ecstasy to agony.

I've gotten banned from a couple of networks, and you know what, it sucks.
That being said, I never blamed the network because it was my own fault, not theirs. I knew in full the traffic I was pushing was questionable, and that I could be banned for it. I didn't run around dragging the networks name through the mud because it was MY own fault, just as it is the fault of the op for violating the T.O.S. I learned from my mistakes, and vowed to never make them again.
Man the fuck up and learn from your mistakes instead of starting a network witch hunt.

Fairs fair - op broke their rules, and misrepresented himself in this thread - at least he hasn't come back with evidence that he purchased traffic from Instagram in a manner they approve via their T&C's

Comment spam is blackhat traffic (low grade imo), and if you send it without the advertiser agreeing first, you do take the chance of loosing your earnings. This is one of those sucky moments where you lost out by choosing black instead of white traffic - it will happen from time to time unless you are 100% legit.
Perhaps Steve, you could let us know if you will be paid in part for the traffic given by this affiliate? I think the answer to that will clear up things for the assembled mob that have flocked to this thread.

And yeah Adam works at starbucks but at night he manages maxbounty's emails, and have no idea about affiliate statuses and warnings. Funny isn't it ? If there were some complaints I am 100% positive they got them since the first day, but they waited until the traffic stopped to take action.

The big question is 'is the affilaite network profiting off these unpaid comissions?"? If the advertiser complains that the quality of traffic sucks and refuses to pay MB, then MB is possibly justified to not payout according to the TOS. The the advertiser doesn't care, and if the network is making money off their end, then the affiliate derserves to be paid even if it goes against the TOS. You can't have it both ways

Say whaa? Adam Maltias works at Starbucks by day? He was actually my affiliate manager for Maxbounty, so no wonder why I had such a hard time getting hold of him. To be honest I'm kinda surprised that someone of his position would be working at a Starbucks. If I had the kind of insider information that affiliate managers had access to (traffic sources, specific campaigns, etc.), I'd be banking from running my own campaigns instead of working at a Starbucks.

Please list all the networks that allow spam as a means of traffic. Oh, that's right...there are none.
Also, if people are entering fake, unverifiable info -- that is fraud. Fact is, you don't know.
Maxbounty is one of the few networks that have been around for a long time. They didn't get there by ripping off affiliates.

And if what OP says is right and they banned him when he was sending ZERO traffic, then this means it was a premeditated move by MB and they were merely waiting to see if he would send anymore traffic before they banhammered him.
You could see it from MB Dudes point of view that OP broke TOS and that affiliate managers dont know anything about whether rule breakings occurred, which is fair enough and if OP stuck to rules this would not have happened.
Doesnt change the fact though that even if it was compliance team that discovered this, it seems very suspect they would find it after hed stopped sending traffic...

I have to agree with Steve for several reasons. I do only whitehat, and have a few sites where I'm pushing advertisement through guys like Steve (though I'm not using them right now). As a paying advertiser, I want to know I'm getting the best bang for my buck. If somebody is making money off me, and I'm not getting anything for it, I get pissed.
I had that happen to me on one of my adwords account. One of their search partners was constantly getting hits to my sites, and the site was totally unrelated to my sites. Had several hundred clicks over a few weeks from this guy but the conversion rate was zero. Turns out they were coming from the same four or five I.P. addresses. Problem was it was costing me around 5$ a click. So of course I flagged him to google and he was banned within 24 hours.
Now had google continued his account for some time, I would have lost some serious trust in them, similar to how I will never advertise on Facebook due to their b.s. (another story), and probably would have stopped advertising with them. Google was good enough to give me credit for the payments made to this guy.
And you can also trust me, if I knew or even thought that google or one of the networks I use, knew about or was involved in something like this, I'd have their ass in court for fraud faster then they could ban the account.

Max bounty isn't the only company to make a vague TOS to scam their users out of money,several adult ad networks do it. Adsense and Paypal are probably the most noterious when it comes to the TOS scam.
