[METHOD] Stumbleupon and Amazon - Dynamic Duo for Residual Income

Anyone "successful" with this method yet? I'm in the process of creating one of these sites. Got a bit more tweaking to do, but I'm about ready to make it live.

I did something very similar to this.

On amazon I've gotten 400 clicks within 48hrs and not one sell
The traffic is all organic, and the bounce rate is low. Am I doing something wrong?

Hey guys what is your conversion rate with these sites and traffic.

I got 1.000 visitors in one day --> 100 amazon clicks --> 0 sells so far.

I am used with my search engine conversion rates. I know that the traffic is not that targeted when it comes to stumbleupon for example.

I know I can make a better user experience, however I am looking to see what is the average conversion rate for this kind of stuff.

Anyone that is already running similar sites/ traffic sources, feel free to PM. I am opened to exchange experience on it.

You may want to reevaluate what products you are putting on your site. You need to be choosing products that people will be interested in buying impulsively.

For example, most people will not impulsively by a water jet pack

However, a lot more people will more impulsively buy this:

The conversion rates are never going to be impressively high, however once you build the traffic from stumble, it is time to reevaluate your on-site issues to make every visitor count.

Of course design can be improved, but that does not really explain how you have 100 clicks and 0 conversions. Once the click to amazon has been made, the design has basically done its job. I wouldn't expect the conversion rate to be high, as people are just checking the product out, but it should be higher than that.. still no conversions?

You can use a Wordpress theme like ShopperPress that will have built in functions for that.

I don't know how OldSalt is doing, but this is still working well for me. You get a lot of indirect purchases as well. I'd also recommend doing a little SEO for the sites to get some more traffic.

Is it possible to do this method with a free website? If not how should I go about doing this if I don't have a lot of money?

I remembered that free websites don't allow affiliate links so I'm kind of stuck here.
