It's down again..

I have one question.. it seems that when the auth server is down even if SB is running I get some trouble with the proxy, why?

Yesterday I notice that SB is down when I try to check some proxy and the proxy checker windows doesn't open.
Today I notice that the proxy get me time out error.

I'm sure the proxy works since I get my own proxy server and I check it and test it and it is ok....

Some of the proxy checking applications are hosted on the same servers that are being hit by the DDoS. Scrapebox maintains their own private proxy checking servers for anonymous proxy checking, but it doesn't work when the server doesn't work.

Thank you for the great thread and great product. I'm thinking of buying Scrapebox but not sure now due to the last few days event. Is this going to be solved soon?
And second because I've heard that there was another product being developed (by the same person). Does anyone have any information as of the accuracy of this rumour? I wouldn't want to buy SB now and have something new and better coming out in few weeks, if you see what I mean.

You can send the money directly to [email protected] but the server that hosts the downloads is down as part of the attack as is of course the activation servers, so you won't be able to use it until it comes back up.

Or you can wait until scrapebox.com is back up and then purchase thru it.

Is there any way to make the slow poster skip the sites that has outdated sertificates ? Its really annoying when you leave it posting and when you come back, its stuck on the second website.

Well the easiest way is to just ditch slow poster and quit using it. 99% of what slow poster does can be covered by the fast poster and/or learning mode poster and of course be done dozens of times faster. Also it then uses sockets so you don't have to worry about these certificates, malware and a host of other issues.

At some point they are going to have to figure out a work around if this persists, I have seen ddos attacks that go on for months.
They are an intelligent bunch at scrapebox I am sure they could figure out someway to balance software security with a fallback on authorizations.

Also it is quite frustrating that even if you are lucky enough to catch a minute to authenticate a few key features are unavailable during attacks.
I can not even use the proxychecker during an attack.

Just a quick update, as you know the DDOS attacks on the servers have started up again. To make things worse when i woke up this morning i had no power, phone or internet.

There already is multiple license servers, and for the last couple of years the licensing system has had 100% availability with the current level of redundancy and more than sufficient for a tool that costs just $57 for life. But this is a large scale attack against multiple servers, and i'm in the process of implementing high capacity DDOS mitigation and i'm just waiting on the company to provision the hardware. Currently i don't have an ETA but i will update things when i have some more news.

Sorry for the outages, and yes i do realize this sucks when you rely on ScrapeBox so much.

Sweetfunny - Can you start a hosting business by any chance? I've had more uptime with Scrapebox in the last two or three years than I've had with hostgator - A day or so downtime out of 2/3 years is pretty darn good

About the competition checker add-on. I was wondering where I can get proxies which work for it from, all the google passed proxies from the SB harvester return an error 0. Also is there anyway to have it check allintitle and allinurl?
