Just installed the update And it looks great.

One question, are the 32 Templates from the seperate thread integrated in this or must we insert the database again after the install ?

+1 here. Does it have those 32 integrated? I'm ready to upgrade if it does.

The 32 additional captchas aren't integrated, so back up your existing files before upgrading

Yep I managed to integrate them as before, but the database will overwrite any other captchas you've added via the destruction kit

Yep I managed to integrate them as before, but the database will overwrite any other captchas you've added via the destruction kit

How are you uninstalling? The upgrade instructions are as follows (and the installer is explicitly set to not write a db if one exists):

To install the new version:


1. Uninstall Captcha Sniper using the uninstaller in the Captcha Sniper folder. This will leave the Captcha Sniper directory intact along with your license file and database.
2. If CaptchaSniper.exe still exists, delete it before proceeding.
3. Download the new version here http://www.captchasniper.com/captchasniper1.zip
4. Run the setup.exe and install in the same directory where you previously installed Captcha Sniper.
5. If you are prompted about mswinsck.ocx, go ahead and KEEP your existing file.

Hey, yeah I used the unins000.exe file in the Captcha Sniper directory to uninstall, and this gives you the option to not delete your .mdb file. I backed it up anyway. But the overwriting only comes when copying over the files that Andrey posted in the other thread (32 additional captchas) - not an issue with the upgrade.

I wanted to buy captcha sniper but I have really felt let down and ripped off by these guys when it comes to forum bot.

Any chance I could exchange my forum bot licence for a captcha sniper license?? I mean fair is fair...forum bot is useless...

You are prompted on what to delete when you uninstall, so you can delete everything besides the .lic file, the mdb file and the folders posted in the other thread. But those are beeing left automatically.

Please send an email to Mike at license[at]captchasniper[dot]com, and ask him regarding the switch. Forum bot works, it is a matter of the lists you use. But if you are not happy with the product, please do what i suggested.

In case it still gives the tesseract error, don't worry about it as CS will continue working. So the babysitting part has been eliminated.

This is work in progress, this new version shows in the lower bar if there are any size conflicts by turning red, and if you scroll down the right windows where the captcha images are, you can see which ones are in conflict as they will be highlighted in yellow

New update looks pretty good. Looking forward for future updates!

That would be recaptcah and it has been stated many, many times in this thread that it is not supported yet

Hey guys, I got a strange issue.
I followed the instructions exactly to reinstall CaptchaSniper to the latest version....

But now when I try to launch it, the application closes immediately.
I tried restarting my VPS but still same issue.

Any ideas why?

I recommend you add their skype support: imbotz

They fixed that issue for me via TeamViewer.
