Hi,allways i open my captcha sniper and want use the csse module appears the following error: Run-Time error '76' path/file acess error. I have checked if on the attributes are checked read only in captcha sniper exe and in csse exe...but are unchecked.How can i solve? Please help Thanks

Just purchased CS finally.

Questions though,

1.) Does CS have to be open for the other tools to be able to use it?

2.) I downloaded version 7.77. But I'm not sure if I download the right one because there is also version 1.5 (beta) and 1.4 (stable). So which one should I use?

My review so far: It gets done what it says on the box i.e. solve captchas. However a few minor issues, that even though not being a serious programmer myself, I would've taken care of before releasing:
1) On clicking "User" it doesn't select all the custom added platforms like the other platforms. Pretty big and annoying oversight.
2) If you start CSSE twice it causes problems.
3) The platform list isn't alphabetized. Big issue when you're searching if a platform has been added or not.
4) Not saving the captcha types selected on the last time. Annoying.

A few other issues, don't remember right now, suffering from a major lack of sleep, but I do remember having to end CSSE atleast 5 times from the task manager.

1) Yes CS has to be open for the tools to use it. It can however be minimized.

2) Version 7.77 is the latest version and the most stable and also solves a lot more captcha's.

Run-time error '76' ? Path not found

In this case captcha sniper is trying to access the host file in a different location other than Windows/system32/drivers/etc.
This would happen mostly on Windos Server 2008 and the location it would normally try to access and it genereates this error would normally be :

\Users\Administrator\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

To find out the exact location it is trying to access, please download the following tool and have it running before you start Captcha Sniper.

At first you should see a bunch of proccesses so in order to find out quickly and not having to scroll down a lot, hit ctrl+f and enter etc\host. This should give the exact location. Note down the exact path it is trying to access, and create it and copy the contents of

Windows/system32/drivers/etc in there.

Don?t move it, just copy it. Double check to see the host file isn?t read only and run Captcha Sniper. The error should be fixed

Version 7.77 is the latest version so please use that one

Well, thx guys, suggestions are always welcome. As said earlier, Mike is constantly updating Cs and we will take your suggestions in considerations. So far he has been working on a few crucial aspects but he will probably add the options you guys suggested in the comming future

I am. It crashed terrasect once. Most of the times it stops solving captchas after a while. I PMd you on Skype but no response yet.

CS seems to stop working at some point. I'm using 7.77. It works at first. But then CS displays a image and doesn't change or solve it. I think it has problem keeping up with the requests from NHSEO and GSA SER for captcha solving.

I'm really annoyed that there is no 'Help' or Guide in the software, not even in the website. When I ran CS for the first time, I am clueless of how should I start setting it up. I had no idea if I should leave it open or not that's why I asked here. But I have other questions like, Should I check "Use hosts file redirect"? What is "Use clean image algorithm?"How can I use CSSE and Captcha Destruction Kit? And where the f*** is the manual? The average user has to figure it all out on their own or ask in forums or email support. Very frustrating.

Have you seen the code? Its actually very GOOD coding Reduce your thread count until the problem goes away and then increase it from there to find a happy medium. Also, make sure that you're up to date with the correct .net framework and VC++ runtimes.

Before I buy this master piece of software I have a question:

I'll install cs on my vps with win2008 R2 and plesk panel. I know that someting within plesk is using port 80 and I don't know how to change that. I just need plesk for my emails. Is there a way to change cs's port 80 to something different? Or is there a workaround to get cs running with plesk?

Yes you can use it with both apps even at the same time. Just be sure to 1. limit the # of threads to a point where CS is stable and 2. be sure to not select any captchas which are the same size.

As far as UD, UD has CS integrated Directly in it so it works quite well indeed

At the time there is no way to change which port it uses. Captcha Sniper began and continues to be an emaulator for a human solving services web site, which by default is port 80... so no other way around it unfortunately. Im sure you could probably figure out whats using it and stop it.

I'm sorry, I'm not a serious programmer, just a hobby one. See my comments above. Even I would've taken care of those minor issues before releasing it.

Also, CSSE doesn't stop when you stop it and when you close CS and open it again it gives an Address Violation error.

I just wanted to say thanks for making such a good tool, it has already paid for itself 10 times over, I have never had it crash once and does a very good job at solving the supported captcha's very quickly and accurately.

There are a few little things that I wished it had like:

1) be able to add a deathbycaptcha.eu account so it will use the paid services for captchas it doesnt know so I can use with software that is not supporting captcha sniper.
2) Select all button for the captcha types.
3) Start on windows startup

Other than that its great

ok so I am really considering buying this tool for Scrapebox because I spend a ridiculous amount of money on captchas for scrapebox. Although reading the beginning of this thread I was about ready to buy it but after I clicked last I'm not so sure. Is alot of people having problems or just a few? Not trying to offend the programmers this software looks really awesome and I am impressed!

EDIT: Also does it support BlogEngine and Movable Type?

You need to be sure to close CSSE properly. You need to click Stop first, then exit the software. All well documented. I guess you're right, Ill skip awesome new features like destruction kit in lieu of things like saving the users checked captchas ... seriously? lol

There is NO promise of 'real-time' skype technical support. What we CAN promise is that technical support emails are ALWAYS answered within 24 hours (even on weekends) and in usually much less time

2. You will NEVER want to select ALL captchas as this will decrease the efficacy of the product. ONLY select the types which correspond to the types your tool is consuming.
3. You can easily do this yourself via Windows Startup

Did you see the comment directly above? When users have zero problems, they usually dont post. However, if youll just read the thread a bit you'll see many great reviews and the excellent reputatation that CS has. Yes it supports both of those captcha types. For a full list of supported captcha types, check the homepage: CaptchaSniper.com. Also, with the addition of Captcha Destruction Kit, there should not be many simple to medium captcha types that you cant add on your own.
