Bing/Yahoo don't like my website? huh!!

Hi,

Google has indexed my website in a fairly normal way...shows 91 indexed pages, but Yahoo shows just 3 and Bing also show same results. Tried submitting sitemap to Bing (Yahoo has switched to Bing) but I'm not seeing any difference for a week now.

Anybody has clue about why Bing and Yahoo are not indexing the site? Do I have to generate some differently structured sitemap for Bing or there could be something other than sitemap?

How old is your site? I have found that it takes B/Y longer to index sites completely than it does Google.

It takes them 1-2 months to index your pages if you submitted a sitemap. If you did not however, it might take them forever to do it. There is a shortcut though, tweet your pages from different accounts and Bing will pick them up fast.

It's more than 2 years old. Google indexed the pages within no time and whenever I resubmit my sitemap, Google list the new content without a problem.

I have the same thing! I have been getting indexed by google in a matter of hours but yahoo and bing takes a week sometimes! Also all the linkbuilding I have done had no effect in yahoo or bing but does boost my ranking in google.....
pages that rank page1/2 on google are no where to be found on first 10 pages of yahoo or bing?

I had same experience, I think G spiders are much advanced than Y/B Spiders which are old school

Search engines are not partial towards websites... There may be possibility that your website is lacking somewhere for bing ranking factors.
EO techniques for Yahoo! and Bing are same as that for any other search engine. The only thing is they are relatively slower in indexing and ranking as compared to Google... Also that some shady tactics work with them...Participation in Yahoo! Answers and Technorati helps (but negligibly).

I have a site that is ranking top 3 for google, yahoo and bing and from my exprince both yahoo and bing combined dont bring as much as google. So my mine SEO strategy been mainly focus on google, yahoo and bing are not worth the effort.
