sooo confused...finally got scrapebox up and running
bought 10 private proxies... tested to make sure they work and uploaded them in the proxies text file
been trying to use the commenter for the last 2 hours...everytime I use slow commenter or fast comment ... it doesn't work... just keeps saying FAILED..tried it on a few different auto approve blogs
I manually did it my self in firefox browser and my comments were approved right away, so what am I doing wrong ?
Generally it will say failed, X. X being replaced with some reason. So can you post part of a log file? Then we can help better.
Hi. How to get rid of pop-ups in Scrapebox in slow commenter? I have Windows 7. Viewed solutions on a forum and YouTube .... didn't help ....If that is the decision. Please help. With respect.
Not sure what you looked at. 99% of the time I see this its because of java script. Slow commenter uses internet explorer rendering engine. Anyway, I go over it in this video:

link checker issue - I have seen this discussed on a couple of forums, so thought I'd drop a note here too.
I find that the link checker addon seems to hang when it is checking links. What I mean is it starts checking, then freezes for a while, then releases again, then freezes again and repeats this during the entire link checking process.
This freezing impacts on the time reporting for the software - for example I did a link check on 10,000 urls - time taken showed as 43 mins, but actual time was closer to 2.5 hrs.
Also, the link checker seems to push the cpu use to 100% all the time, which impacts on other instances of Sb that may be running.
Can anyone here comment on this?
Sure. You have a few different elements there, so lets talk about each one seperately.
The fact that it freezes is just because its doing what it has to do. It has a lot going on and windows can't always paint the screen. So its still running in the background but its not painting the screen in real time. It is sending a lot of requests thru windows messaging and the screen paint message is just getting delayed etc...
The timer is that way on purpose. Its not intended to be a real world timer, its intended to show the actual time the application actively ran. This is more helpful for troubleshooting, because when you look at a log that shows times it will show how far down the log it froze or whatever more accurately. Sufficient to say, its done that way on purpose, its part of the sockets. So if you want a real world time open a browser and start a stop watch.

As for pushing the CPU up, if you think about it, it makes sense. Imagine if you set the link checker to 100 connections, its trying to load 100 web pages simultaneously and then process them, looking for your text/link. If you were to open 100 tabs in your webbrowser and you could actually keep them all working at the same time, you can bet your browser would go slow and your cpu would max out. The bottom line is your asking it to do a LOT so its going to use a LOT of resources. If its an issue, just cut the connections down. Cut the connections in half and you will more or less cut the cpu usage in half, unless of course you already have pushed it to max out and connections are timing out. If you cut connections in half then these will then process so you wouldn't get a true cut in half of the processor usage.
But cut it down none the less. If you have it set at 100 connections, put it at 10. You will notice it won't use as much CPU, but of course it will go slower. So its a trade off. You simply can't ask it to process tons of sites without using tons of resources.
I am looking for good proxies to use with scrapebox because I am tired of mine not working. Any suggestions?
