Hey everyone,

OK, so I've been internet marketing for about a year now and have finally learned how to do keyword research well and backlinking via linkvana.

I read somewhere that it's a very good idea to use a really good keyword for your domain name.
So, I happened to find a golden nugget keyword and bought the domain for it.

I then used the new domain name as a forward to my sales page since I already have a domain name for it.

Questions:
Is forwarding the new keyword domain the right thing to do?
How do I get my new keyword domain to rank in the search engines?
(this is the first time I've ever purchased a keyword driven domain)

Thank you everyone for your help and guidance,
Joe P. (aka Master Joeda)

You've been internet marketing for a year, on this forum for three, and aren't sure how to get your site indexed by Google?

Forwarding your keyword is not the right thing to do. Are you setting up a review blog of some sort? Put wordpress on it and then purchase 250 social bookmarks for a couple bucks. Then either make articles yourself or get them done for a couple more bucks each. Submit them to article sites, backlink them to your site, blast the article site, yada yada yada

Contents, contents and more contents. Then work on some onpage and offpage seo. You should be at the top :)

If you want the effects of the keyword rich domain, change that to your main domain and forward your old domain to the new one...
Then do what krafty kyle said

I know that there are different opinions on this, but I'm of the camp that doesn't believe that forwarding is a good tool. The best way to not get punished by google is to simply advertise your sales site from the new EMD. You can put something up like "looking for "keyword" go here!" or whatever you want to do with it. Also, if you're going to try to rank this site and do some heavy link building, just be sure that the 2 sites have different ip addresses and unique content and you should be fine.

go find any thread on here related to SEO . there are tons of great stuff . the main thing is on page seo and then off page seo after you got your on page seo down.

It is good that you have keyword in your domain name. It will get little bit advantage in SERP. To get high rank in search engines, you should use "new keyword domain name" as prime keyword for website. You can use all On page and Off page techniques to get high rank for this domain.
