[GET] Tumblr auto QUEUE poster (from yahoo explore)

Hello guys,

I have a tumblr blog that posts 48 images daily on full auto. The script I attached is automatically, when executed, pumping 48 posts (photo posts) to tumblr queue.

If you want to use it, you only need to make a tumblr blog, create at least one post in queue manually, set number of posts from queue, save your setting and then execute the script once per day.

It can also be put on your server and executed by simply opening the page once per day - it doesn't need to be precisely timed.

Please note that commented security part is only needed if script is going to be accessible from web. In that case, I even created a backlink to one of my blogs when google bots and visitors without a pass visit the page.
If accessible from web, it should be opened like yoursite /interestingnessToTumblr (dot) php?myNP=your_password(your_password is whatever you set in the script).

OK folks, let's go with a short howto. There are several things you need to do:

1. Create an application on Flickr and get your flick api key.
2. Create tumblr account
3. Set queue to post however often you'd like to post
4. Fill in all the details needed in the script
5. Either put the script somewhere visible from web and then open it like:

   hxxp://my-path/interestingnessToTumblr.php?myNP=whatever_entered_in_options

   in order to open it every day to fill your queue

Btw, if you go and use it like described here http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/member-downloads/273316-get-tumblr-reblog-bot-v0-6-a.html#post3769645 in order to open it like "image" - more in the post there.

For some reason, I didn't enable the script to be run like crontab, BUT you can run the following command from CPANEL crontab:

wget hxxp://my-path/interestingnessToTumblr.php?myNP=whatever_entered_in_options

which will give the same result.

This script looks so cool, thanks for making it and sharing it (which no doubt meant some cleaning up and documenting in the way that anything you share beyond yourself must require).

I have a dumb PHP question-' how could we tell CURL to resemble various web agents (ie, 'real web browsers'). I know how to do this with wget (in the shell), but I'm just a bad hacker script *editor,* not a real programmer.

[edit- also same question, but with proxy. would love to tell curl about a proxy server]

Hm, try to google it and add to settings already available in script. Im on phone now and cant edit. I can add later if needed

Yep. Earlier in the thread (Post #6) there was instruction for putting in 'cron' (a scheduler in all Linux/UNIX servers, and every $6/month hosting company I've seen).

It is not the money part of your model, but a bit of filler/cheese.

This isnt working i filled in the details like tumblr account and flickr api key. When i run it with my password in the url as mentioned it dont post on my tumblr. I just get a white page on the script page, refresh tumblr and nothing there

No, right now, it only grabs the images that are marked in flickr's explore. However, it sounds like a nice feature, and it should be doable.,..

You can post anything you want... However, enabling it to 'think of a tag' related to picture might recreate scenario from Terminator movie . I'm planning to add a feature to search for specific images based on preset query... This might give idea to which tags to use. If you have some idea how to use tags - where to get them from - shoot.

I described the exact way I used, and I have it working. Did you set password correctly and entered it correctly in url? Could you add the following code just below <?php (i.e. just below first line:

error_reporting(255);

If there are any errors, it should display them. If no error is shown, that it's some of the situations script was programmed to ignore. Just send the output of the script with error_reporting ON, and we'll see what can we do.

What do you mean by redirect? Would you like to set a link on images to some page?
