[GET] Tumblr auto QUEUE poster (from yahoo explore)

Yes It would be cool to be able to have an affiliate url be substituted for the source image url and even better if we can rotate between say 5 different ones.

One being the original image source, maybe the next one the tumblr url and the rest of them affiliate urls.

This way it might help hide some footprints.

I'm attaching the new version of the script. I'm too lazy to do a virus scan. It doesn't have any viruses. If you open it on your local computer and compare it with original script, you'll see only a few lines added, and those are nothing dangerous.

It's simply a bit late here, and I'm proper tired. Thx for understanding ;)

On the brighter note, I fixed the stupid issue that existed with script. And it was all me. I already have this script active somewhere, and when I was preparing it for 'sharing', I wanted to make it at least a little bit prettier :). During that process, I screwed up and removed the part where image information is being sent to tumblr ;)...

Anyways, the new script works fine - I tested it on my own server and it uploads content.

The NEW part is the option to allow other than default urls set as click through. They are still entered in post, but now when image is clicked, user is taken to whatever you want.

In order to use this, simply open the script and look for the following in script header:

$wantCustomURLs = false; // set this to true if you'd love to have your own URLs set as ClickThroughURLs
$pathToYourURLs = '';    // leave this empty if $wantCustomURLS is false.
                         // otherwise, on linux, use something like /var/www/html/myURLs.txt
                         // if used, tfile with urls should have one url per line.

and set it properly... Your file - /var/www/html/myURLs.txt (or whatever you want to call it) should look like this:

- obviously, I can't write real URLs... rules, rules ;)

That's it... IT's still in development and your requests / recommendations are welcome... I'm trying to find time to implement targeting by keyword... Although this might be a little bit problematic, depending on what image author enters as information... Still, it might work.

This is a noobie question. Where does it get the photos? Do you make a flickr account and upload the photos you want there?

Anyways, it get's them from flickr, yes.
 
Hello,

Here's a new version of the script. Logic has changed a little bit, in order to support multiple accounts via proxy.

Now it grabs all 500 explored images, then goes through users array (which is obtained from file), filling in 48 random images from 500 explored images and sends them to tumblr via proxy.

I didn't have proxy to test, but it should work ok.

Everything else is unchanged.

I am having the same issue.

I am using the last version.

I add a post to the queue an the run the script and the page is blank.

Is there suppose to be something we say when running the script.

It is not adding anything to the tumblr queue. :(

Have you tried the new one?? That works but makesure the ip address isnt blocked by tumblr.

I might post less than 48 every few hours or something

Hello all,

I've been receiving some questions about the script related different errors people have been receiving. Obviously, I did some error myself, but there are also issues in misconfigurations... to keep things easy, here's an even newer version of the script :)

This one has, along the other things, variable called $debug in the script header. Set this to true

if you're having any issues and post it to me via private msg. Also paste all eventual errors you're getting and any info that you think might be useful (obviously, not about your cat's sex life :) )

I'd love to hear that someone made good money on this :)... To eat myself for not doing it myself ;)

Wowz... Yet another bug was found thanks to our users...

Please use the version attached with this post... Namely, since I added proxy support (and I don't use proxies - so I didn't test), I accidentally was sending ':' as proxy, which was not "null", which in turn made script try to send proxy to ':'... This, of course, fails...

So, try this one :)

I have been using this QUEUE POSTER for several months and it works great except yesterday I now get this (errorcode:2)

any assistance is greatly appreciated.
 
it's because of tumblr update, they changed queue post page design

Didn't look into the script yet, but you could set a daily Cron Job on your server to execute the script daily.
 
Glad I found this site after intense googling. I am kind of looking for this solution, I have uploaded the file into my server and created flicker API and tumbler account and added all the details to the script and called the script under one of the sub domain which was allotted to that folder.

I cant find any post displaying on the tumbler page. Help me out in this guys... I really need big help here.
