Howdee BlackHatters,

- I am preparing 6 websites, 5 Wordpress-based and 1 HTML-built.
- Expecting a total of 10k-20k/daily visitors
- No shady activities on the websites, all legal stuff (sorry to disappoint :D)
- Plan to host all of them on one account

Therefore my question is: Should I go with a shared hosting or with VPS? And if a VPS, then how much bandwidth would be necessary to accommodate the traffic mentioned above? And of course let me know with which companies you host and your experiences with them.

Thanks in advance,
Peace.

I might be wrong.
but from my experience with traffic...
you might need a dedicated if in fact you will be getting 20k visitors a day.

The number of sites might not matter but the visitors will.

In my experience a dedicated server is not necessarily needed for 10k-20k daily visitors. A good equiped VPS can handle that amount of traffic too.

You could check out Hostamus. The owner is a BHW member and he provides a really good serivce. I'm with them for a few month now and I'm really satisfied.

Not sure about 20k/day, that's why I rather indicated a range initially, but of course hope to reach that number sooner or later.

Based on your experience would a VPS with a Bandwidth of 1,000 GB/month and 2GB RAM be capable of handling such traffic?

Shared, Reseller and VPS all handle the same amount of traffic.

Dedicated is the only one that can handle more.

It would be better you go with VPS or clound because a share hosting is not enough to support that huge traffic per day .
1Mbps should be enough. If it still not enough you may use CDN to help it .
