Massive Direct Scrapebox Blast on Brand New Website

Subscribed, want to see how it will goes further. I started this with one of my autoblog sites :)

Great Job bfellow. Keep the good work.:) As some already pointed out, I've learned a lot reading your experiment.

Although, I have some questions ... since blasting 600K backlings takes some pretty large lists. ;)

1- How do you manage your lists for them not to be burned out? Do you purchase new lists, harvest some yourself or still using your 50K AA list which you are selling?

2- Would you share/sell your lists or your recipe to produce them, or get them?

Thank you

Nice info, will subscribe to this thread. May I ask what theme you used for this experiment?

Update:

Ran my list of 288K blogs and finished with 123,000 successful backlinks.

Stayed in the 40's in Google till this morning when I awoke to see my site at position 5, page 1 for my main keyword! Already seeing some Adsense revenue from it as well.

Now I guess the next step is to see if I can hold this position or even improve it. My gut says this position is temporary. That it will sandbox at some point, but bounce back later. I had one site sandbox for about a month. I added some content and new backlinks over that month, then it shot back to Page 1 Position 4 and has held there since (2 months now).

We will see!

Hi,
I have been here for a few months reading and reading as I have seen, the best way to learn is to keep reading and when you feel confident enough you start to test. However I find out that there are some thing missed out or not mentioned between the lines that y I decided to ask.

-When scraping with free proxies and a slow internet connection, google never seems to harvest anything, results only come from yahoo. Why?

-How relevant should your comment/backlinks/forum profiles and anchor text really be to your niche/keyword/market? hope that makes sense.

-Say i have 10k AA blog list, how many times can/should blast that list to the same web 2.0, Articles. Just thinking of the penalties if any posting to the same blog twice. But i assume if the comments are different at the different times of commenting/posting, it wouldn't matter.

-do forum profiles get blasted by SB, or just the anchor text in profile signature? hope that makes sense.

-In footprint/custom footprint. I have a major misunderstanding with what goes where.say i have a custom footprint like:

"powered by vBulletin" "In order to proceed, you must agree with the following rules"

Would I write that In the custom footprint box, the fill in my keywords? or do I put the custom footprint in the keyword area with the keyword next to it? something like:

"powered by vBulletin" "In order to proceed, you must agree with the following rules" "Keyword" or both can be used

-Also, When I scrape/harvest urls/blogs/forums with keywords, some or most of the returned results(urls/blogs/forums) have no connection to the keyword or niche. Why is this the case. Most results are off topic

Pls will appreciate some assistance, I'm reading really, just need some answers on a few things

Wow! Thank you so much for a wonderful thread. I read the whole thing and learned a lot. Where did the OP go though? Last post was a month ago. I'd love to see how phase 2 is going.

Question: Do you think this same strategy would work with a service like Dripable? SB looks like a powerful method but it obviously involves a LOT of work. I wonder if there are services on BHW that could implement the same strategy (link velocity, etc.) but do it more on auto pilot and have it be cost effective.

Hey All,

Sorry for such a HUGE delay in posting. Consulting business got really crazy for a few months, then holiday's took over. Still recovering in mid-January!

A couple of things on the site I was experimenting with. First the old stats from last post.

Avg Visits a day: 38.9
Avg Adsense Income/day: $3.25
Biggest Adsense day in last month: $7.85
GWT Links: 3,775

During my long break, this site continued to steadily grow. The results were pretty crazy. Here is the current stats:

Avg Visits a day: 145.4
Avg Adsense Income/day: $14.55
Biggest Adsense day in last month: $38.96
GWT Links: 8,653

The site is now #1 for it's primary keyword. It's also sitting at #1 for several secondary and long-tail keywords.

In terms of income on this site, it's been awesome. To get at my average, I simply took the earnings from this one site ($436.50) and divided by 30. This covers my car payment and insurance. :D

I've also used the same technique on a couple of much more highly competitive keywords. One keyword I've worked on is pretty competitive. 43MM results with 28,500 exact match searches a month according to Google. Started working on this keyword about two months ago. Currently sitting at #5, two spots below Wikipedia and ahead of two very large companies.

MOVING FORWARD:

I'm currently looking at setting up another experiment if there is similar interest to the last time I did this. And am more than happy to answer any questions you all have. I noticed some questions above that went unanswered in my absence.

Sorry again all for the delay! Will actively monitor this thread.

So far...from your 1st post until now are you still using SB to directly blast your $ site?

How many scrapebox blasts you sent directly to your money site in this time ?

That is correct. Direct blasting the money site. I wanted to prove that you can do that. Lots of misconceptions floating around. I didn't know at first if that would work, but I certainly have been able to prove it.

How many scrapebox blasts you sent directly to your money site in this time ?

The last site I hit it with about half a dozen large blasts. Basically blasting it and seeing what would stick in terms of backlinks. For this next experiment I am going to be a lot more specific on each blast, giving details of the list used to help other people.

Thanks for your reply. I'm gonna test it out on my trial site after I purchase SB.

Really enjoyed your experiment eventhough I haven't bought SB yet

I can buy content for 0,80 cent per 500 words from content yogi

but is it any good ?

OP
they are amazing results if you are still just using SB blasts direct to your money site.
I guess you have actually been paid out the adsense earnings ?
Might inspire me to get a new adsense account and do the same thing , if so.

I'm a newbie and I've learnt a lot from this thread. I love reading case studies of experiments like these. It's very inspiring as I'll be looking to doing similar experiments once I have more experience in SEO.

Thank you OP!

Same with me, OP really inspiring me to do the same things even in smaller scale because lack of budget.

Yes, my Adsense payments have been made every month with out fail. All the traffic that the site receives is from search engines and legit traffic, so nothing to be afraid of as far as Adsense goes.

Your welcome Elmo! I'm glad that you learned a lot. That was the whole goal. I've been on this site for a long time now and learned a ton. Wanted to give back through my own experiences and observations.

Same with me, OP really inspiring me to do the same things even in smaller scale because lack of budget.

This is a great way to get started. Get those earnings up above $3.34 a day so you have that check coming every month, and then just scale. When I first started with Adsense back in 2005 I started out small. One site which after two months was making about $4 a day. A year later Adsense was my sole income. I was making $250-300 a day. Wish I hadn't sold those sites! But it's nice having no college debt as well.:D

The biggest thing is to just get started and set very reasonable milestones. Aim for $1 a day. If you can do that you can make $2 a day. Then you can make $4 a day and bam, you're now getting a check every month which feels awesome!

Few questions if you don't mind answering for this particular case study.

1. How often are you blasting your site?
2. When you blast are you blasting to your own AA list or to RAW scraped lists?
3. Say if you have 30 articles targetting 30 different keywords, would you blast them all together or break them up into groups of 5 keywords at a time?

4. I've created a site for testing out direct blasts myself, its got 25 articles with 25 low competition keywords. Just curiously about exactly how you would go about blasting these articles, should i focus on 5 of my top keywords then move onto the other articles or just do them all together OR should I focus 1 keyword/article at a time?

Thanks alot for this thread, I really appreciate your advice :) If people are interested maybe I could also start a journal for this mini authority site. Peace.

Hey TashCorp,

I'll do my best to answer your questions.

1. How often are you blasting your site?

I was hitting my sites a couple of times a week for 6-8 weeks. I wanted to maintain initial link velocity and also see how quickly Google was picking up my links.

2. When you blast are you blasting to your own AA list or to RAW scraped lists?

I normally start out with Raw scraped lists. Then from there I can put together AA lists that I'll hit for a different keyword with future blasts.

3. Say if you have 30 articles targetting 30 different keywords, would you blast them all together or break them up into groups of 5 keywords at a time?

With existing AA lists that I have I'll hit it with all keywords at once.

I'd do them in groups based on how similar they are. I normally optimize a page for three keywords, then hit that same page with variations of the three keywords to make it look more natural to Google. If Google sees a bunch of new inbound links that all have the same anchor text to a newly created page, it throws up a red flag.

I also don't normally launch a site with all content published. I like to use Wordpress and I'll load up all the content, but pace the publication dates so it looks like the site is growing over time. And when new pages come online I'll blast it and do another blast across all pages. Make sense?

Hope this answers your questions!
