Massive Direct Scrapebox Blast on Brand New Website

Hey all,

Just wanted to post a quick update and answer a few questions that I saw in the thread above. If you have a question for me, please ask in the thread. I am more than happy to answer as much as I can.

First QUESTIONS and COMMENTS:

hello guys, i did blast my new website with over 500k autoapprove blogs and get 300k success, will i get sandboxed?

The big key here is link velocity. Imagine jumping out of an air plane twice. Once with a parachute, and once without. You cover the same distance, but over different lengths of time. It's pretty noticeable falling without the parachute, which is very similar to Blasting 300k blogs only once. A quick hit of adrenaline, then smacking hard into the ground, probably landing in a sandbox in Google's backyard.

Now, lets look at jumping from the plane with a parachute one, i.e. blasting those 300k over several weeks. Sure it takes longer, but you cover the same distance and have a controlled landing, most likely avoiding Google's sandbox. Now since you have blasted with 300k verified already, what you need to do is lengthen out the equation. It's basically L/T or Links over Time. Too keep from landing hard, I would continue to blast at least 15K links a week for 4-6 weeks. With this you will lower your velocity, going from 300k over 1 week to say 390k over 6. You have reduced your velocity from 300k to 90k, plus by extending the blast you get rid of that rough landing.

Hope this makes sense.

on a scrapebox Blast, let's say which goes to 12000 different blog comments,
how many clicks would be on a bitly link / per day ?

Honestly, probably 10 clicks if you are lucky, Blog comments are only good for for back linking. If you are looking for clicks on links, you will need to try forum posting using say Xrumer. But even at that, you need to be a pro before the returns are work the cost and time.

by the way its a 9 day old site, bought it July 13, i hope it won't get sand box, i really learn a lot here, +rep OP

Nothing wrong with a 9 day old site. Again, it's all about velocity. I would make sure that you double up the content though if it is thin. Because you have already crank on the accelerator with 300k links that quickly, you now have some work to do!

The first experiment I ran in this thread was all about taking a new site and blasting the shit out of it, so you are fine. Just whatever you do, don't just stop. You need to keep going.

Now for an UPDATE:

So this is an update for experiment #2. Not to much to report. I have taken the first step of hiring a writer to produce 50 articles to expand the site with. One thing I will be touching on often is the importance of unique content. And I'm not talking spun articles, but 100% unique, readable content. It is hugely important!

Once I have the new content, I will be adding 3-5 articles a week, so a minimum of 10 weeks of content additions. This steady growth in content, combined with an active link building campaign will be key to hitting growth targets.

I should have articles in the next few days, so expect the first growth by next Friday the 29th. I will of course continue to update as new things come up as well as answering all your questions and comments.

I will be keeping the BHW coupon to my site located in my signature through the weekend then discontinuing it for the time being.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to post them here and ask! Your comments are always welcome.

Hey all,
If you have a question for me, please ask in the thread. I am more than happy to answer as much as I can.

Will you be blasting the new content as it's created?

Will you be using the Link Lock feature and simply adding the new content URLs as they are created; or will you be doing individual blasts for each individual URL in the site?

Great thread, thanks for showing us if this method works, been wondering if i should go this route for a while.

Wow, so I signed up for this site just so I could say thank you!

I myself am somewhat new to SEO, but I do understand the fundamentals.

Most of my time has been spent messing with code, however now I would like to understand better how SEO works all around.

Like I said I do understand the basics and wouldn't necessarily call myself a noob, but this posts really touches on a lot of stuff I have been searching around G for answers.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to explain these strategies (everyone who replied).

I look forward to this next test run!

Just wanted to post a quick update so no one thinks the thread went cold.

I hired two writers to put together 100 articles so that I had content to run the second experiment, but am having trouble with both of them right now. With content taking extra time I decided to take a small road trip to a brewery festival in Portland, OR, which is where I am writing from.

I should have the content I need tomorrow, so when that comes in I will kick the second experiment into full gear.

Thanks!

Thanks for this share again! I've done the same in one of my website since 1 year and had no success :)

Am I understanding your message right? You have been blasting as I have described in detail for a year and have had no success?

Something tells me that either I misunderstood what you said (the :) seems out of place) or what you are going is not what I do.

If you'd like to share what you are doing here in the thread, I am more than happy to help you out.

As for the experiment, still waiting on content. I'm about ready to fire my outsourcers and get new ones.

While waiting for content, I will do some small reinforcing blasts starting tomorrow which I will report on.

Thanks everyone. Questions and comments are always welcome!

Last I heard you mention traffic, you said this ...

April: 6 visits per day (VPD)
May: 36 VPD
June: 65 VPD

Ever since then I see you saying that traffic has held steady.

I saw you state that the exact keyword match was 2900, and the cpc was $3.97. You ran a scrapebox blast of 28k, then started doing 288k. I'm not exactly sure just how much you ran of those and whether you continued doing it for months and months.

I'm trying to sort it out in my head whether you broke even yet or not? Of course that would depend on your clickthrough ratios and whether or not you're getting good money per click.

Not just that -- its obvious you're doing your own scrapeboxing. Many people pay cash for their scrapebox blasts, and I'm not sure how much it'd cost for a 288k unique list but I'm assuming not cheap.

My questions are this ... with the going prices on bhw for scrapebox blasts (or if you charge for them yourself) ... how much would you say you have invested in blasts to your website, and taking that into consideration when do you think your website is going to break even?

(This is not taking into consideration that you're writing 100 new articles and that costs money, just the cost of the scrapebox blasts if someone were to pay for them as a service).

@phpbuilt

The site right now is doing about 85 VPD. I blasted a total of about 600K backlinks over April, May, and June. The heaviest weeks were about 150,000 in a week, spread over 7 days a week. Since I ended the blasts, some links have fallen off while others have been picked up. The mean average of links indexed by Yahoo or Google is about 35,000 backlinks. Since the blasts concluded, I've seen my site drift slowly upwards. It's my opinion that I blew past any type of sandbox since I have maintained positioning and increased traffic. I think that as the site ages it slowly gains more gravity and will continue to drift up for a while. Also because lots of links have yet to be picked up, so it keeps the trickle of links happening.

As far as break even, I exceeded that a while ago. It does help that I have my own servers, lists, proxies, and can blast at very little real cost to me.

Is it possible for someone to say, outsource everything in an Adsense based site? I think so. Upfront cost will be pretty size able. Just a rough breakdown:

100 pieces of content at $2.50 per - $250
Blasts over two months at $1 per 1,000 backlinks x 250K links - $250
Domain - $10
On going costs would be hosting at $10 a month
Maintanence blasts 30K a month at $1 per K

So $510 upfront with $40 on going.

Done right, based on my own experiences, you should be able to bring in $15-$30 a day or $450 to $900 a month in revenue. So it's totally possible to break even in two months and then run at a profit margin of $400-$850 a month.

Of course if you have SB and scrape or buy quality lists, plus write your own content, break even is much quicker.

When I am looking at whether a site is performing well, I look for a few things;
-Minimum 4% click thru rate. I prefer 6-8% This keeps you under the radar while also performing very well
-A minimum of $.50 a click.

So for the above example you would need to turn that $520 in startup costs into 600 visitors a day if you are at the minimum $.50 a click average and a below average 5% click thru rate. If you figure your 100 pages of content are indexed well, getting an average of 6 visitors per page should be pretty easy.

Currently with the experiment site, it's getting a 7% click thru rate. Average CPC lately has been about $1.90.

So, I think I answered your question, though maybe a little winded. Please feel free to ask any follow up questions.

All comments and questions are welcome!

On a site note, I have started blasting for experiment two. I'll provide a brief write up tomorrow after the blast.

Thanks!

$2.50 for content seems very cheap. Is it readable or respun stuff that makes no sense?

Completely read able, 100% unique content. It's all about ordering in bulk. I also have done enough out sourcing that I'm pretty good at finding quality content at a low price.

Please can you share?

I write my content and they are 100% original. It is very rewarding as I am page 1 on a lot of VERY competitive terms but it is extremely time consuming. I can tell my competitors have outsourced this.

I'll check and see if my source want's to be reveled. If you want to find pretty cheap content, it's worth it to take it out to bid on free lance websites. You have to be careful or you will get crap for content, but once you find a quality vendor, you can really lower your costs.

That's the trade off really. It is super time consuming to write your own content. Really depends on what you are working on. If you are looking for hundreds of pages of content for an Adsense site, then using a free lancer will save you a ton of time.

Of course if you are sniping one very competitive keyword, then definitely worth the time to invest in writing your own content.

read first page and last so...

what's VPD? And also 600k to main page or throughout the website? How many are tier 1 and how many are tier 2, are they still all sb AA comments.

And also.

Your experiemtn has been using all AA sb blasts , none or most that WEREN't ******** right?

VPD stands for visits per day.

As far as the links I was blasting, I didn't divide between do and no follow links. The reason being is that if you blast at that level and they are all do links, it leave a foot print for Google to find. It's smart to have a blend of both.

As far as the link structure, all single tier. The links were spread among all pages. Probably 30% at the home page due to early blasting to establish the domain, with the rest being divided. Older content has more links then newer as I'd add content, do a blast, then when adding more content, I'd blast it all again.

The traffic was lower because it was a very targeted niche, but that niche pays out a lot more on a CPC basis. The next experiment that I am working on right now and will be sharing here covers a bigger niche. I am looking to get to about 1,000 unique's a day in the next two months, but it has a great click thru rate and an average CPC of about $.75.

I have a blast running against it right now. A short write up will come tomorrow.

Questions and comments always welcome!

Are you worried about link diversity, or you think that scrapebox is just fine and will be your only real need for a source of backlinks in the future?

You're not considering linkwheels, etc. ... or in your experience they're unnecessary if you do consistent spammy type links with steady velocity?

That 250k backlinks you're talking about are off of what approximate diversity of domains? (like is it 250 links each on 1k domains, 25 links each on 10k domains, 50 links each on 20k domains, etc.

This post is the first post of the next experiment.

First to refresh. I am taking a website that is now a year old. It has minimul traffic and limited earnings. The website is based on WP. The current site has three articles on it. Over the next couple of months, I will be gradually adding content to the site (typically 5 articles a week), and then using Scrapebox to promote this new content. I will also be reporting on Adsense income to the website. Here is a look at the current statistics:

Avg Visits a day: 14.3
Avg Adsense Income/day: $0.37
Biggest Adsense day in last month: $2.31
GWT Links: 192

Currently 84% of traffic is from major SE's with a majority being Google. Good traffic though from Yahoo and Bing as well.

To kick this off, I initiated a small blast two days ago. Just 3,000 links with SB, distributed over all the pages listed in the sitemap. Today I finally received content from my writer and posted a new article. All articles target specific keywords and are at least 500 words in length. All original content. Nothing spun.

That's all I have for now. I'll be reporting regularly as this develops.

Questions and comments always welcome!

For the first experiment I wasn't worried at all about link diversity. It was simply to prove that SB by itself could be used on a brand new domain successfully.

I've found the biggest thing to consider is link velocity. Do I think diversity can play a strong part? Absolutely, and on my regular money sites I use a lot of diversity. I also normally only use SB on third tier links, pointing towards Web 2.0 type pages that then point back to my money site. Though I also never hesitate to point SB links at money sites as well.

As far as the base of links I was blasting from, it was fairly diversified as far as domain goings. It was in the neighborhood of 24K different domains. As far as link distribution over those domains, it varied. Some domains I posted more links to than others, but it wasn't anything drastic. I didn't have a single domain with say 2,000 backlinks from it alone. It was balanced, but obviously varied.
