No, the competition is weak and innovation is slow as a result of these things. Barriers to entry are some of the highest out of anywhere in the world here. The only EXCEPTION was the internet, but that is now soon to change as well.
Also the idea of imprisoning people for non-violent crimes is beyond comprehension. Actually the average prison sentence for "counterfeiting" products is 4 times as large in the US as the average time spent in jail for convicted molesters of children below the age of 12 (which is only 16 months)

Yes because the US economy is booming with free and open loan access and tons of private venture capital investors in uncertain markets (ie the web or anything really that the government wants to regulate the hell out of )
It is not 1999 anymore.
Honestly, go try to get a loan right now for your business. Hopefully you only have to put up one of your homes as collateral.

I've made a lot of money this last year, and yes, I realize if SOPA had been there I wouldn't have made anything close to what I did.

Oh give me a break, this is the same guy that basically lies about literally everything he ever promised to do. Also said he wouldn't sign the NDAA but lo and behold he did. And now ordinary American's are considered terrorists.
This news annoys me also for another reason, i was halfway through an episode of Rule Of Engagement, then i pause it to go to band practice come back and can't watch the rest... THE HORROR!
