I saw this a few minutes ago... very interesting. Considering it's a Hong Kong based company.
and so the censorship begins, give it another couple of months and I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in the world gets a unique logon ID for the Internet.
WTF are you serious scary.
"and we base this upon absolutely nothing"
Bah, and this is before SOPA. They shoulda hosted their shit in like the Cayman Islands or such, where the real blackhatters (most US corporations) have their headquarters.
"Kim Dotcom, formerly known as Kim Schmitz" - lol, nice name change btw.
But they claimed jurisdiction based on a server in VA. God damn I hate my country sometimes... insteasd of worrying about their fiscal problems, they'll attack websites costing them millions in court/lawyer fees.
but .com is a us based domain
I do hope this isn't the start of mass censoring... before we know it all the major sites will be censored. Let's pray that this doesn't happen.
More articles on it:
yeah I'm thinking of changing my surname to Blackhatworld
this won't stand because MEGAUPLOAD is backed by artists and 90% of their content is legit.this is bullshit.
See this is why SOPA is garbage. In it there is supposedly a distinction between "domestic" and "foreign" domains, except there are a number of international/foreign companies which .com websites. Seeing also as how Google gives preferential treatment to COMs, classifying them as US only domains is unfair to other countries' websites as well.
Now go rank for megaupload and close keywords and earn quck bucks $$$
I'm surprised MegaUpload had a server inside the US considering their business model...not a smart move IMO, especially in light of today's events.
:yield: Is such a thing... even possible?
And this is the beginning of the end....
FBI has closed megaupload?? I heard it now in the news
I'm agains SOPA etc.. but... This is Karma, good bye Kimble!
hope it come back. So i can download all my files and have them locally lol. shit
