Megaupload has been shut down.

Someone creates his/her own video with his/her own idea and brain then upload it to youtube to share with their friend.Then someone download that video then upload it to his/her account and register copyright for that video.
Finally, the person who download and register trademark can sue the owner of the video for violating copyright then the owner will go to jail lol

Its also the responsibility of a site owner to make sure everything is legal, if they do not want to risk a lawsuit and or seizure of their site.

And that they do by giving the copyright holders options to flag / delete videos and by also monitoring themselves (which youtube does, maybe not to the extend you want, but they do)

I only see all-out cyber space war as the outcome if these laws are passed in haste. See, US will halt some / many sites and the hackers ('state' sponsored) will have a field day testing the loopholes in US govt / financial / other important sites. Obviously no one likes dictatorship, least of all on the free-for-all internet.

To stop online piracy, US will HAVE to stop Google, YT, and other such super-power sites -- will they ever be able to stop Google? And if Google is stopped, there will be 10 new 'Googles' next day sharing files more easily.


P.S.:

See how easily only one 'virus' is able to give us such super headache , then what will happen when those hackers inject millions of viruses (e.g., in the US banking or financial sites) simply because the US govt tries to become the internet's command center boss?!

That guy is a nutcase,it would case a backlog in the court system for decades. They got the people they were after.

I think this thread has run its course, its moved far from the original subject and I dont see it getting back on topic any time soon.
