Hello all. I was just a post a few minutes ago about how blasting links directly at your money site via xrumer can get your site de indexed within 24 hours.

I was just wondering hypothetically, could this happen to any site and hypothetically whether anyone had considered this for a site other than their own?

Just a bit of fun, no one is naughty enough to do this.

Interesting thought though!

Depends on the target site, if it is old and well established it will be almost impossible to harm it, and you even might improve their rankings.
This is more like lottery and not really worth doing it!

He's not talking about killing his OWN baby... He's talking about killing other peoples... XD

Dude... What I mean is: Some people have tried that already... Ya' know? Spamming the shit outta other people's sites and stuff... The thing is... If it's a one-off sorta thing, Google's usually smart enough to realize that the site's been framed, and the demotion in the Site's SERPs is only temporary... =D

Doing BH tricks on competitor's sites can and does happen. Not just Xrumer blasting.
People will sink to pretty low levels for $$$.

It mainly occurs in competitive niches: gambling, finance, etc.
Old and new sites can be targeted. Be afraid, very afraid!

Yeah... But like I said... If it's just a "Jab" and not continuous, unrelenting pummeling, the effect is only temporary... You have to KEEP doing it for it to work... Wouldn't it make more sense to promote YOUR site then waste time demoting other's? =D

I think it would be quite easy to hit a competitor long term. For example, I could make an investment in xrumer or another service that blasts and keep blasting at a competitors site. Set it up on a dedicated server, which is always on, and keep hammering that site. Surely that's one way. Can anyone think of another?

Instead of spending 5 minutes on the competition why not build your own instead. I know its blackhat but sometimes, even in life, when we dwell too much on the opposition, we forget to do things that can help ourselves.

my advice, build your own aged properties, then blast them. Let the competition worry about you.

EXACTLY! Say you're on Page 1 OK? And your in 9th position. Which makes more sense: Blasting #8-#1 or just promoting your OWN site up to #1? =D

Eventually this could backfire. Google sees the constant ongoing links and takes them into account in a positive way. Now you've built an incredibly strong competitor who OWNS THE SERPS.
