A got my sites on the french server they are down from the first day, I should have made a backup just to be safe.
Until they setup the servers I can complain but it won't bring the servers back faster, Thursday it will be online
This is what I hear all the time

Well I've paid for 3 years worth of hosting and won't ever be using it again... maybe you boys didn't lose much money but I sure as hell did and one month free hosting is worth jack shit to me.

I make a living online and you guys cost me big and not so much as a courtesy email, reply to my PM or skype message... I've been traveling for the last month and didn't even know my sites were down for 2 whole days

@Extrawinner/Ezlegion: I think i know whats the problem of my previous post problem i mentioned, i terminated few accounts now and then added same domain and i see it's IP is assigned with the new IP you provided and it works fine now, but all old domains which are under OLD IP are pointing all my sites to your site, i.e. bpspace.com, if you're not getting me, then check out the below screenshot:

So i think you should move all my domains and other domains to the new IP inside your WHM, because i don't have access to do that and i don't want to loose all my data of other domains, my test domain had useless data which is why i terminated and added again, but other domains i can't do the same, please look into this and get back to me on skype or here.

thanks

i think i faced with same problem with this...

dutch server here.. do you guys successfully pointed to the new IP? Namecheap can't do anything with this! Dynadot has no ticket support. OMG

Hi guys, quick update.

We have imported databases, all looks good, users have been added succesfully too with all stats etc.

We will start now adding your files to the server.

As of Dutch server - if changing IP is to much hassle for you, then our ETA for restoring old IP is tomorrow around 12pm GMT.
By then all will be fixed, as we need to wait for higher manager in our DC to show up in office :/

I will update shortly.

ive lost couple $$ for this down
many my client ask me and worried
how much longer do it take ?

if take a long i prefer getting my files and move

What about french IP's update you told me on skype that you will be able to tell me after an hour. I'm waiting for your update.. Kindly tell me now the ETA as my sites were on french server.

In the same boat here guys, wow is all I have to say. Just WOW!!!

I don't understand....if people are making serious money why don't they have redundant hosting elsewhere? Or at the very least backups of their sites? If your sites are really making you a couple of thousands of dollars a day....aren't they worth a couple of extra bucks to hosts on several servers around the World? Ever heard of power outages, floods, rioting...your typical Random Acts of God?

As the old saying goes....hope for the best but plan for the worse. If you didn't plan for the worse...well then you are partially responsible for your losses.

This incident non withstanding....I've been very happy with Bart's hosting and I plan on continuing because what happen to his servers could happen elsewhere as well. So be smart and think proactively.

Bart - Any updated info on the French server. ??

I saw your last post 2 hours ago

Hi Guys - good news on Dutch one - we manage to work this out from our end by modyfying some system files.
We are starting now restoring all domains on new IP.
You need to do nothing (unless you are on custom Nameservers - then you need to change IP too). This is manual work, so bare with us.

As of French server - we need to add all files manually, I am doing this now. I will post when first site is online.

Yeah, this situation couldn't have been handled more poorly.

I have no faith in this operation anymore and I won't be sticking around to see if they respond better next time problems arise. Burned once, twice shy.

Maybe some sort of compensation to current customers should be intact. Although two WHOLE days of downtime may not seem a lot to some, for others, it may affect their whole line of income. In fact, I'm sure I've lost a handful of clients due to the downtime.

Though, I understand the position you guys are in, however, the way you guys are handling/have handled it is pretty poor in my opinion. I will stay with this hosting, though. I believe it is just a minor setback and hopefully next time a proper notification will be in place if this were to occur again.

OK Guys:

Dutch server - Ben is changing logs, and this should start working for most of you (GoDaddy, Namecheap).

I am uploading now first sites to French server.

Will confirm in few if they are good and online :)

I see the situation different, I need a backup and I don't plan to move because I like the servers.

From the replays I see that most of us didn't have a backup lesson learned, I bet that by Thursday the all the servers will be up, and ready to test the new tools I made during the blackout

My websites on the dutch server are up & running

thanks.
