Maybe I am missing something but how can I setup the new nameserver. I got the new IP but my provider (transip) won't let me change my nameserver address to an ip-address.

If your registrar do not allow you to set IPs for nameservers, then simply contact live support, and ask them to refresh Nameserver IPs, as they changed.

Once the French server gets sorted is there anything we'll have to do to get our sites working again or will it happen automatically? Coz I want to go out on the razz tonight lol

Edit: Doing some SEO work and my site has just got to #1 spot. I'm soooo gutted :'(

did that and here is their response:

12:16Mary S.: then if you need to change the IPs for the nameservers you will need to contact the registrar for bpspace.com domain name
12:16Mary S.: as the IPs for the private nameservers are to be changed at their side and nothing to do with registrar for your domain.

It should be automatic.

Site will start popping in as they were before.

I cant guarantee this, but unless there is no issue with DNS files it will come online automatically.

Bart or Ezlegion,

I am on the dutch server as well but still havent gotten the new IP. It would have helped if you mailed all your customers that are on the dutch server with the new IP. That way you dont reply one by one to each client because that is time consuming.

Can either of you drop me a PM with the new I.P for the nameservers please?

I have tried to reach you both on skype but no response. I have also left PMs requesting the new IP. Please get back to me asap.

Thanks

I subscribed last month for your hosting and thought it was automatic billing every month? Just found out that I had to manually pay an invoice today as my hosting was down. Do I have to do this every month? It's really annoying doing that.

IP of our nameserver is changed:

http://www.intodns.com/bpspace.com

Try to hit ctrl + f5 - maybe that helps.

Sent you PM already I believe.

We cant send email to all customers, as we are still investigating on reason of this hack attack. I don't want to give too much details, but I don't want to publicly, or massively send any information about our servers.

No, it will be automatic once we are up and running.
You can use subscribe button on your invoice for it.

Aight thanks. My site seems to be down. Server not found. Opened a ticket already. Can you help me check what the problem is? Thanks.

Read the last 3 pages of this thread and let the man get on with sorting out the important stuff

nothing works.. dont know what to do..

maybe set "A record" to new IP address for @ and www?

PLEASE DO NOT POST NEW IP OUT PUBLIC!

In theory GoDaddy should update you automatically, but you can check A Name for domain, or simply edit ns1.bpspace.com to ns1.bpspace.com - this should force GoDaddy to refresh your nameservers.

Sorry extrawinner. I didnt know it wasent for public. I was trying to save you guys time in answering others so you concentrate on getting it fixed.
I will follow the nameserver advice right now.

thankyou

Here's an explanation of what to do, please note I've replaced the IP you may need with xxxx's because I cannot make this public, pm or skype me for it:
But this is the full explanation of what to do when you get it:
If you're having problems with your site(s) being down first you need to determine whether you're on the french server or the dutch one.
Enter your domain into the website http://www.intodns.com, if the ip's that show end in 84 it's the french, 153 the dutch. If you're on the
french server we are currently doing a full backup, re-configuration and restore this will take time and unfortunately we have no
timescale for this but we're hoping it's done asap. If you're on the dutch server you need to get your registrar to change the dns settings
so that ns1.bpspace.com points to xx.xxx.xx.xxx. Please note your registrar may not understand this as this is not the norm for them.
Just stick to your guns and get them to do it.

If we are on the Dutch server, will the nameservers eventually automatically update themselves to the new IP addresses?

Hi consus,
I think I may have misunderstood you basically if you change them then they will work soon
