Yes you can do this now. Go to settings >> uncheck the "use multi threaded harvester" then you will be using the single threaded harvester.

Then in the comment poster section there is a drop down next to delay. You can pick a time from 1-10 seconds for the delay and it will use that when harvester. Or you can set it to RND. Then under settings >> set RND range you can set the RND (random) delay range. Then scrapebox will use a random delay inside the range you specify when harvesting between each harvest.

thanks so much man! +5 rep given

Hello. I'm still learning scrapebox. It has so many nice features and I'm glad I bought it. One quick question about rapid indexer addon.
I understand that i have to delete the "hxyp://" part from my url. Is this correct?
Thanks.

Generally yes. There are lots of types of sites and links that the rapid indexer can be used on. To that end the scripts on the page auto add certain elements. The safest general bet is to use just

domain.com

some support

domain.com/long_url.htm

So long as your domain.com redirects as it should to your www.domain.com then it will work out, because some rapid indexer type sites will add the www and some won't.

thanks so much man! +5 rep given

haha your welcome. :) I am no way a scrapebox god, but thanks for the compliment and the rep! :)

Hey there Sweetfunny,

I've desperately tried to contact the Scrapebox support with a multiple license issue - basically I purchased a VDS and then Scrapebox, but when I tried to activate it on the VDS it was already done, so basically I have a license too much. The support stopped answering after they got my situation, but a friend recommended me to contact you directly.

Any chance you could help? I'd be ever so grateful.

Thanks,

Slow Commenter uses the Internet Explorer rendering engine. So if your internet explorer is set to "prompt" on whether to accept a security certificate or whatever then scrapebox will prompt the same as it just passes this along from IE. So you need to go into your IE settings and put everything to either allow or disabled, but don't put it on prompt.

Also glad you are all working. :)

I removed all of the "prompt" settings but i still get this one popup that stops my machine until i see it and click away. Its wasting alot of time. I attached a png file of the box. Any other ideas please ?

I've been reading this thread from page 1 and all I can say is "Wow". I have always been interested in computer history so to me this is a great read. I began to read this thread with the sole purpose of understanding what Scrapebox does but it evolved into so much more. I'm only on page 20 (Christmas, 2009) but I'm riveted. The first purchasers of Scrapebox are reading like characters in a book to me (you know who you are and thank you). Reading their reactions after receiving this devastating "weapon" is priceless. I was laughing out loud when most were literally begging the creator to raise the price. Issues of morality are starting to emerge also as certain individuals begin to wrestle with notions of the potential destruction that can be done with Scrapebox; turning the internet into a sea of spam...for $47.

Sweetfunny, you are truly the hero of this story and a model for future developers. I hope others take the time to read how you compose yourself with such dedication and patience while absorbing endless amounts of feedback...all on little to no sleep! It's inspiring to witness.

As I said I'm only at Christmas, 2009, so please don't collapse my probability waves and ruin the ending :D. Sweetfunny at this point you remain gender neutral and I'm asking myself "is this guy/girl ever gonna snap on anyone? You're enduring so much!". I can't wait to read on.

Haha classic, if you save every page of the thread when ScrapeBox the Movie is released you can sell original copies on Ebay for a profit. :D Oh, when you reach the end of the thread you have to tell us how long it took to read it all. :)

I don't know for sure, but its probably java script. You could turn java script off, only down side would be if a page uses java script for spam protection or something.

Curious though, why are you using slow poster? I mean don't get me wrong slow poster is good and all, but with fast poster supporting 4 of the 6 platforms that slow poster does and the new learning mode poster that is like fast poster. With fast poster you don't have these popup issues and it doesn't take as long.

Slow poster has its place, for sure, but given you just jumped into the scrapebox game I thought i would ask your premise or goal for using slow poster, as there might be a way to accomplish the same ends with much less work and hassle for you. Just thought i would ask. :) If you don't want to discuss it in public you can pm me or whatever too. Or if you don't want to discuss it at all thats cool, everyone has their insider secrets.

I don't have one for sale at the moment, I am going to be making another soon though. The video of mine that the matrix posted above is a great way to find them on your own.

loopline,

Well, I have been using the slow poster because i was under the impression that it should result in more successful posting. Apparently I have misunderstood this ? I also am using only 10 private proxies. Is that a problem? Under what circumstances would you use the slow poster as apposed to using the fast one ? I have watched all of your videos at least once.

Well....its a matter of opinion and goals. Slow poster is more accurate, yes. But a large premise of black hat tools is volume. Slow poster still produces volume, but again its perspective. If your looking to build 5000 links a month slow poster could be perfectly viable. I personally push more in the neighborhood of 100K+ links per day between various sites. Sometimes I might do 500K+ links in a day. Like I have a project I am working on at the moment and its 14 million urls I need to post to. I have posted to about 10 million in the 4-5 days.

So with those kind of numbers it not possible to use slow poster. If you are posting on platforms that fast poster works with, then the extra result that you might get from accuracy is probably not worth it when you compare to the volume you can get from fast poster. Like if you had 1000 urls and you gained an extra even 100, which is unlikely, links by using slow commenter, if you could post to 10,000 urls in the same time, you are likely to get more then an extra 100 links from the other 9000 urls.

So basically there is a loss by using fast poster, but the speed it enables more then makes up for it. Times I would use slow poster would be if I had limited urls. Like if I had 1000 urls that were highly targeted to my niche, I would use slow poster. But if I am working with general urls and/or urls are virtually unlimited then fast poster is the way to go.

Same applies when it comes to connections. I run 200 connections per instances when posting. By doing so I lose some urls over what I would use if I had it at like 50 connections, but my servers are pretty good so not much. But sometimes when I need fast links I will crank it to 500 connections. I lose a fair bit of accuracy, maybe even 20%+ by doing this, but if I can burn thru twice as many links or more then its worth it. Depends on your goals.

If you are looking for links on less hit sites, like lower OBL or more "valuable" /higher quality type links then I think there is more value to be had it using the learning mode addon. Cause even with slow poster, other people can still spam those blogs, there are lots of sbox users. But with learning mode you can find platforms that are not being hit and may have very little or no links on pages and you can hit them. Same thing applies to trackbacks. I have seen blogs where it requires you to log in to comment to stop spam, but they have trackbacks set on auto approve. Trackbacks are less used, but more heavily used by far then if you were using the learning mode. The learning mode also is like fast poster. In both cases you don't have to deal with code executing on a page that could be malicious, or that could cause the process to stop, and less "chance" of something that causes sbox to lock up and crash etc...

So in short, when do I use slow commenter? I don't. I haven't in 2011 at all, except in a couple of test with very small runs of urls. I don't think I have used it in over a year. I am very much a volume person though. I sell lists, I build mass ammounts of links for people, and my sites are established and I build mass amounts of links to them. So I don't need niche targeted stuff, and I use learning mode to dive into new platforms etc..

10 private proxies is fine. I ran with 10 private proxies for months and months.

Aol scrapping is still a problem. 402 and 403 errors most of the time

_______________
.EDU .GOV ++SB Blasts and Auto Approve List++ $10 | $4.00 Articles

Thats odd, cause it works fine for me. Scraped 10 million urls from AOL in the past week, and scraping from them right now yet still.

403 is easy, forbidden. Could for sure be proxies.

402 is quite odd. Its not even used, its reserved for future use. It means payment required and its intent was to save it for perhaps a microp cash payment system, something that was good thinking, but has yet not come about.

It sounds like you have a proxy issue, or maybe a virus or something. I have never heard of someone getting a 402 error. I could see it though with a proxy I guess.

Hey loopline is it possible to just import the 'learning mode' settings for different platforms?

Thanks

When you learn a new platform, you save the definition file which is similar to a trained database. Then whenever you want to post to that platform again, you just load that trained definition file and post. You can't mix platforms, so your definition can't be trained for both Wordpress and Movable Type for example the definition is platform dependent.

* Commenter now supports nested spintax in comments.

Only the one change, but it's something a lot of people have requested. For example it has no problems with the below text with multiple nested levels inside other nested spintax.

Sorry it was 420. I mistyped.

I bought a fresh batch of proxies and we are able to scrape again. This after I read your great advice.

Many thanks, much appreciated :)

Hi, I made a payment, now how do I get the download link? Can you please PM me.

Thanks
