I had exactly the same experience before also back in 2010, but 53% is better than 0%, I think in future, a good policy would be to send 150% that would silence one and all, if thats too generous we can try for 110%

If you have trouble seeing your campaign in analytics, pull the code up to the first two lines in the body, and see if things change. BTW our own analytics data for our various websites suffers greatly from inaccuracy... analytics is not consistent. Also know that analytics data has a latency in reporting--at a minimum 24 hours, and oftentimes longer. Google lists many reasons analytics can be inaccurate on their website, specifically: Incorrect or No Installation, Incorrect tracking code, Incorrect filter settings, Viewing Incorrect Account, Using both Urchin software and Google Analytics, Using an Outdated Version of ga.js, Interfering Scripts, Outdated Flash plugin and disabled JavaScript on the end user browser, and visits from China.

While I take on board the quote explaining the problems with Google analytics and free counters, you did mention this before thus recommending AWSTATS, but I think the point given by battletross where he mentioned the spike for one day was really strange being that I had the same spike at the end of my delivery I can see this clearly by using the shopping carts own software as well as ones provided by hosting company it not easy to see out all theses sources have no validity, regarding AWSTATS the hosting company did not support it.
