Nah, twice to the same computer in a week. I haven't got it activated yet. I do allow a certain amount of time for them to process requests, but I think a week would be a little too long.

I looked up your username, and the last transfer was done in March and nothing since. So nothing is up with support, but something is most definitely up with you entering the wrong email and/or transaction id causing the transfer to fail.

Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing where I can have the multi-threaded harvester stop when it reaches 1 million urls total.

The problem I'm having is I load a LARGE list of keywords and start harvesting then take care of some other work and before I know it scrapebox has scraped 2-3 million per search engine and when I hit abort it errors out and winds up completely closing that instance of scrapebox.

I need it to stop when it reaches 1 million total from all the search engines so I don't loose my work. Or some other solution. Something.

You shouldn't be losing your work. Check the Harvester_Sessions folder in your scrapebox directory and you should find your stuff there.

Update the latest scrapebox version, its already been fixed days ago.

I just purchased scrapebox and until now my scrapebox is not activated. What details should I email to customer support, because I think they are ignoring me. My brother already activated his scrapebox 30 minutes after his purchase and in my case it's already 4 hours from now and still not activated.

double check your payment details, like your paypal transaction ID and email, then resubmit. 99.9% chance you submitted the wrong info.

I have scrapebox but have only used it for scraping the best pages off of various sites to drop ******** power-links on. With this new Learning Mode, would it be possible to train the software to drop comments in the discussion area below various articles on Yahoo News?

I thought I heard someone say that the software works through Internet Explorer, so in theory you could log into yahoo with IE and then give the software a list of URLs to comment on, right?

Could you tell the software to put a delay between posts of like, 3-5 minutes?

The slow commenter uses the IE rendering engine. The fast poster and learning mode use sockets, not IE. It won't work with yahoo news, already thought of that lol. Reason is yahoo requires you to be logged in, unless I miseed something. With sockets and the learning mode working as it does, it won't work, at least not at it current state.

Plus there is the issue of IPs, if you logged in and then used 20 different IPs to drop comments, yahoo would know you were spamming. So you would have to have multiple IPs, multpile logins, and the logins would have to be locked to the IPs. Thats a whole different ball game all together.

It won't login to MT, however you can use "or comment anonymously" for example in your footprint to return only MT blogs which don't require any login. Also where it says google.de you will see "Add more Google" just click that and add your own country Google such as Google.co.uk

public / private all come back time out

system windows 7
i7 laptop
1 meg usa dsl

server access test returns all good except
ping test 0 for server 1 and 2.

disabled windows firewall - nothing
passed this guy a list i tested in his presence
all failed.. i re tested list all worked.
we said any proxies he uses all error 404

tried team viewer with several proxie lists
loaded all failed error 404.

any ideas ?

i had ran into some weird problems like this when i had a static ip set on my computer that was behind a router and modem... i then set my ip to dynamic and all the problems went away... i'm not sure if that will help but maybe worth a try though...

Well the ping test failing is a bad thing, it pings standard servers, not a custom hosted server by scrapebox.

All timing out and 404 would be a connection issue. Timeout means no access, basically (if they all timeout). With a 404 its getting someone and something is generating an error code and kicking it back.

Quick and dirty test is if he has a laptop and can hook it to another ISP/network and see if it works will tell you if its his network on on his pc.

Its possible for instance its his DNS with his ISP, he could try google DNS as a test. http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/

Also it could be settings in his router/modem, thus the easy test with the laptop, especially if he has changed any settings in there since he got it.



All that stuff out of the way its somewhere on his pc, which is what is most likely anyway. If he has a rule in his firewall and you disable it, the existing rule can still fire. So have him delete any rules in the firewall regarding scraepbox and add a full allow rule rather then disable it, then restart the pc.

Also many anti-virus programs have firewalls built in, I have had McAffee block scrapebox before on my pc and I have seen tons of people with Nod32 or Malware bytes be blocking scrapebox. so delete existing rules and add allow rules in all anti-virus, malware checkers, firewalls and any other security programs.

You can also try a small test in safe mode with networking. Most of these offending programs don't load by default in safe mode and if it works in safe mode with networking then its for sure on his pc somewhere.

Those are the most likely scenarios. Also you could have him try to give his PC a swift kick and see if that helps. lol (just kidding).
